First of all can I just say that you have always been a positive influence on me and I am sure for others also and I do feel saddened that you have been feeling so low.
But if anyone can pull this back around then you can my friend.
You have done so well already and just need a little luck to come your way, but in the meantime this diary will hopefully give you the focus and motivation to take the control back.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you with the 2 job applications I am sure something will come along soon.
Great news on the shares going up:TBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Hey BB, how cool you have a new diary
Listen, don't feel down about the debt, we all struggle with it even those of us who were debt free. This is the first month that I can't clear my credit card. Cash flow is a bloody nightmare here too and we're back on the breadline for a bit. It's a combo of monthly overspending , me not working and a bank mistake. I've had to withdraw from my isa to cover bills and the Canada trip. My debt also stands at around 5k and I won't be withdrawing savings either to clear it. I'll do some work and clear it the hard way. So I totally understand how you feel about that.
To be honest we really do have no excuse, even hubby's lone income is enough for us to live comfortably on. My income always just added to the savings. Him just having his eyes lasered at 4k didn't help, nor did booking to go and see his parents next week. It's a lot in one month for anyone, but it's done and we'll be back in the black soon... as will you.
I'd really love to get the MB thing going but I'm in the same position as you, I did loads of bookies things to get the quidco thing a couple of years ago. There is something I don't quite get, but i can't put my finger on it. i think it's not being sure how much to lay and all the other stuff:rotfl:
One great thing about your situation is that we get a new BB diary out of it which is long overdue, loads of us were totally addicted to the old one. So welcome back to diary land and I'm really pleased it's started off so well.:A

oooooooooh, Toto - thankyou. Your whole post has really brought some sense into all of this - there are lots of people in the same boat and it's just part of life now that debt happens, but it's what you do about it that matters.
I agree about the MB thing - there is still something not quite 100% clicking in my head , so I'm going to wait until I have this first wave of 'stuff' out of the way and perhaps next week i'll tackle it - again!!
Long overdue??! I didn't want to get back into debt you know :rotfl:"Stay Wonky":D

I think it may be coming to a realisation that its ok to have a small amount of manageable debt IYSWIM.

Well, fortunately the mortgage came out today a day late and it wasn't a problem with it coming out over Easter and other stuff meaning there were insufficient funds (phew!)
I had it confirmed that my main teaching course this term won't run due to low numbers (I already knew this to be honest) which is a bit  as it will mean even less in my main income. Luckily, the list of exams/availability was emailed to invigilators and I went on the 'books' last term. I've said 'yes' to every available slot possible. There are about 6 people in total, so I should hopefully get a fair few exams to do. I won't earn as much as I would in the teaching as the rate is half but it's better than nothing.
OH is going to be out tonight watching the football somewhere so I really need to beat myself around the head with a wet kipper and do some AQA whilst he is out, no excuses.
I'm also wondering when my National Insurance refund will arrive and whether it will be a cheque or electronic transfer. I paid Class 2 each month for 12 months even though I ended up earning under the small earnings limit on AQA so I've asked for a refund. That was about 3 weeks ago so I guess I'll get it soon? It's around £100 which will be very gratefully received!
