I spent £57 last night on an interview suit and a blouse _pale_ I am not sure about the jacket and blouse but will see when they get here. I can always send them back if they aren't right. I'm going to bid for the jacket i've seen on Ebay, it's a style/cut I prefer and would be a much cheaper option if I can get it all to work!

going to be AQA'ing all day :(

How much is AQA per hour on average?

Well the teaching has the best rate of pay...but with the "free" preparation time, that cuts it down quite a bit - i.e. almost half at the moment...

It is doable with a full time job, but you are going to have to be disciplined. Do the preparation at the weekend - instead of AQA. Even with the "free" preparation, it still works out at a better rate of pay.

Those nights you aren't teaching, cook extra portions to heat up for those nights you are. Or alternatively, those nights you are teaching, you can get OH to cook :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: :confused: Sorry didn't know what came over me there.

    But discipline will be key.

discipline, to be honest, has been the key since I started teaching last September. I try to be doing stuff (ie batch cooking) whilst i'm doing teaching prep. or AQA'ing. When the weeks were horrific, I timetabled each day out to get the maximum return from them financially, but some days have been full of non-earning things that I haven't been able to change.

    OH cooking....................:rotfl:.

You know what he said last night? We had chilli.........he said - and I quote

'you know what - when we first met you couldn't cook chilli. Now you cook quite a mean chilli, although you do still put tomatoes in it'

I was like whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhat?? I have been cooking chilli for years!! He seems to think that because it's the only thing he ever cooked before we met that he has influenced what I cook in some way :rotfl:

    He then said

'I was paying you a compliment'

Which is why you need to build in a little bit of slack into all your calculation. But if you can be disciplined - they you can do it.

Fancy you putting tomatoes in a chilli...

If he wants a mean chilli, sprinkle loads of chilli powder on his before serving. He'll have laser beams coming out of his arsse in the morning.

They don't get much meaner than that...

Because in his world, doing anything something like his way means you're approaching perfection...

Is AQA something I could do from the shop BB or do you need to be intelligent?
