Back for the day and had my second facial/pampering session/face and shoulder massage. And it was free again - I tried to pay (it would have only been £4) and she refused :D I wasn't half as scared as last time and I tried to book again and felt so disappointed to be told this was the last session of the course  The girl who did me was sooooo good at the face and under the neck/top of the shoulder massage thing, it was great :D I asked what the last product was as it smelt lovely - Decleor moisturiser :eek::eek: Don't think i'll be able to afford any of that!

Going to re-do the figures and then pay whatever I decide off my CC.

Sorry to hear the treatments are over. Could you not have private treatments with the person that treated you today? Are they qualified yet? Can they do that? Or do they have walk in sessions like at our college? It would be nice for you to have a hour to yourself even if it does cost £10 I think its money well spent :j

nope, they aren't qualified yet. The session was similar to the ones you have at your college -they are learners where I work training to become qualified.

Apparently there is a make up course next -I've said if they need anyone to practise on to give me a shout. Pity I work Wednesday mornings as that's when the Manicure and Pedicure class is.

    Balls.

I forgot when doing the figures last night to deduct the water bill which starts on 1 May. Even though I had the meter fitted I guess it will be a while before they adjust the DD and certainly not in time for tomorrow.

I have £162 for the month which has to include a CC payment.

It pains me to pay so little off but I'm going to pay £62 off and keep £100 in my account for the month.

So, month 1 of my new quest is over and I think in light of the small payment I need to see in writing what I've achieved as I feel a bit deflated by that.

    I have

    - taken the bull by the horns and admitted I can't cope on my single salary without dipping into my savings and also using the CC just to live
    - put a new SOA together
    - Paid off the £300 gas and electric bill which arrived
    - Paid £62 off my credit card instead of the minimum £25
    - am in a position where (hopefully) I won't have to dip into my savings for the first time in about a year.

Let's see what May brings - I'm determined to use the whole £110 NI refund for the next overpayment after I've banked it.

One of the jobs I applied for (the one I was encouraged to apply for, didn't and it was re-advertised) closes tomorrow so who knows. The other job I applied for (low response - they'd like to consider me when re-advertised) has been advertised today. They've put the salary UP!!!!!

Well, here we go - 1st May

    maypole.jpg

who knows what this merry month will bring?!

Had a NSD today - so far, shouldn't be any reason to spend now though.

Turns out the cake decorating stuff from ebay hadn't been sent to me as they didn't get my message about what colour dye's I wanted and their emails to me were being sucked into a hole somewhere. Anyway, I rang them and it's all on its way (a bit late for last Monday - hey ho) and I asked if I could buy a 12 inch board as well for the next class. She said the minimum spend by card over the phone was £5 but would put me the board in for free :D

Been a bit impulsive at work. Wanted to do a jewellery 'taster' course for a few years and realised it is tomorrow so signed up. It's £19 with the concession fee so a bit of an unnecessary spend. I'd kick myself for not doing it and if I am at home I'll just spend the day on here so I thought I should just 'do it' even though for some reason I felt a bit nervous!! We make a bangle during the day so I do end up with a piece of jewellery at the end of it.

Oh..........that means I haven't had a NSD if I've paid £19 for the course!
