life is a bit mad today but just about getting through it.

Currently just finished shovelling lunch down my throat (a combination of super noodles and choc chip cookies - first things I pulled out of the cupboard) after working from 8-12 and then the first session of the next part of my teaching qualificiation from 12.30 - 3.30.

I've picked up the laptop and projector for the course I'm teaching tomorrow and have between now and around 6 to look through the powerpoint presentation again and ensure I have all the handouts etc ready for tomorrow. Exam papers have arrived so I just need to keep everything crossed I've remembered all I need to prepare as its a bit late now!!!

Cake decorating class tonight. Bits from ebay haven't arrived. Bit miffed as they were sent to me Thursday but I can improvise for tonight and tutor has said I can use some of her colouring.

Bank account is lower than I was expecting today, not sure why but I guess something will appear tomorrow. Ah yes, the lunch at the pub I think...

Bit of a realisation today thinking about how many hours I'm doing today with work/planning/being on 2 courses related to my development as a teacher - a 13 hour day and I will have earned 4 hours at £7.92......before tax.....

I know beanie :( I know both courses I'm doing today will ultimately lead to a higher rate of teaching pay and another subject I can teach but it's taken 5 hours of out my day I could have been AQA'ing and I'm now spending another hour checking my stuff for tomorrow - again, unpaid...

hurrah - my 4 manic days are over :j:j:j

I've been paid and I now have £1,094 available in my account which includes the money from my shares profit. I now have 3 days to see what I can make on AQA to add to the £70 I already have. Tomorrow I will be able to work all afternoon and into the evening as OH is going to Old Trafford to watch the Champions League match so I'm aiming for another £70 tomorrow.

On 1 May I'll do a budget for the month and see what I can pay as my first overpayment on the first CC I'm hitting.

I also came home to a cheque for £110 for my NI refund:T The refund in response to the letter they said no, they hadn't had requesting a refund.

Off to do my freeby scratchcard, then the washing up, stick some washing on, get changed and then I will have the drink I have been promising myself at the end of the last few days.

Prep time is a right PITA but it does get better when you re-run courses but I agree when you are starting out it does seem to eat up your time so much.

If your courses become regular they might offer you a contract with some PPA time included in the salary. It would work out cheaper for them and you would have a regular amount coming in.

Well done for getting through the last 4 days, have a large glass of something potent:D
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

unfortunately we don't have contracts in that way (on the tutor side) - it's literally just a 2/4/6 hour session gets 2/4/6 hours of pay. Today earned me £124 pre-tax.

I've just opened a can of cider
