They look great BB.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
anyone got a corner for me to hide in until the next 4 days are over?? I think my working life between now and 5pm Tuesday is just about to go into meltdown and the next stage of my teaching qual. is definitely going ahead from Monday afternoon so I've that to throw in the pot as well. This weekend is going to be manic one way or the other. _pale_
Had a letter from NI in Newcastle confirming I don't have to pay any Class 2 NI.....'following...recent contact'. This will be the recent contact they say they didn't receive and definitely wasn't on their system?Wonder if the letter for the NI refund is sitting on the same desk.....I'll give it a week and then start chasing.

ta pepe - it's getting a bit desparate to be honest, when things are starting to overlap you know it's getting a bit close to the edge of being workable

The only way I can cope with everything ( along with the stupid working hours.....67 in 5 days!) is to prioritise and put each job completely out of my head when I move onto to the next.....and to have a time-out ( MSE ) now and again.
If you find a corner to hide in, shove over a bit, I need to dormir como un tronco...:D stay wonky

I have everything planned for the next 4 days in my head, firstly split into where I need to be and when (ie Monday 8-12 work, 12.30 - 3.30pm teaching course, 7-9 cake decorating course) and then within that I have the stuff I have to plan ahead for - (Monday 3.30 until I go to course at 6.15, ensure all teaching stuff is all together for the teaching i'm doing on Tuesday). I'm having to stretch my days longer - I should be at work 9-1 on Monday but because the course start time has changed I've had to change my work start time. Luckily both are in the same building.
My head is currently putting the jobs for tomorrow and Sunday in order in my head which include take Charlie each day, AQA each day, finish teaching prep for all day course Tuesday, housework/cooking, go to work to do some photocopying in the morning, brother popping in to see me on Sunday afternoon.
I'll find a corner, but I'll need chocolate if you're going to take up some of my rocking backwards and forwards space!! :rotfl:"Stay Wonky":D

oooh, I don't mind a massage in the privacy of a ............1:1 situation shall we say
........, in fact I love massage
but with a beautician, who is probably early 20s, skinny and quite orange
Weekend finance update. Called Scottish Power and they have now set my DD to £68 from 1 May. Better than the £90 it was going to be, but obvioiusly a lot more than the £34 I was paying, which means my budget is now £34 short. She has said that in a month's time, if I enter my meter readings again I can email them and ask if it can be reduced as we are going into the summer quarter, so it's salad and sitting in the dark for the next 30 days so I don't use any gas or electricity :rotfl:
Sitting here deciding how much to pay off the first CC I'm tackling as I've now had the statement. The balance is £675. I have £389 in my bank account. I get paid on Tuesday but obviously my £766 salary isn't going to be anywhere enough for the bills. I have the following choices
a) Pay £89 off the CC, leave the remaining £300 in my current account, keep a very tight rein on things and hopefully not touch savings for the first time in months
b) Pay £200 off CC, leave £189 in current account, work all hours I can on AQA between now and the 30th and whatever shortfall there is take from my savings
c) Pay £250 off CC, leave £130 in current account, do whatever AQA I can and take more from savings
d) Pay £350 off CC, leave £39 in current account, AQA and take a huge chunk (probably £300) from savings.
or any other ideas?I feel a bit impatient to get is all cleared asap but also need to remember that I need to be able to pay the bills each month so there's no point in slapping any excess onto the cards and then just drawing from savings.
I also am keeping in my mind that because I now know the NI people have my letter, I should get a refund of around £100 at some point which I'm planning to use as next month's overpayment on this CC.
There's also the fact that these figures are just covering the bills really, and don't take into account petrol, food etc. OH pays for £80 worth of food at the beginning of the month and I have a fair bit of meat in the freezer. He also owes me £115 from the last holiday booking and the next holiday booking. I want to use around £75 of that for a train ticket at the end of May for the June meet so I have £40 I can use for food in the middle of the month. Petrol shouldn't be more than £20 for the month.
It's going to be a squeakily tight month, but that's the way it's going to have to be now again.
Just need to decide which option to take to start overpaying the first CC - the quick and painful route, or the slow and meandering route...."Stay Wonky":D
