Well done BB. Incredibly brave especially when you knew it wasn't going to make you happy and elated. Big hugs xDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

I feel weirdly in limbo -as it I should be fighting and pushing forward with gritted teeth - but I don't need to. It's done, it's paid. It's a weird feeling.....
I have set myself a challenge - to be back to 4k in savings by my 40th in May (OMG, how depressing is that) At the moment it will be through any AQA I do at the weekends so the rate of saving is up to me I guess.
One ironic note though is that I am now on holiday until 19th Oct. Because my afternoon job is contract , I don't get paid for it when I'm away. Whilst my end of October salary will be a full one, my end of November one will be 37 hours short. I get £11.04 per hour in the afternoon, so after tax/NI, that is around £270 (ish) I will be missing from my salary. That means during November I will need to do at least 270 on AQA to break even - that sounds familiar :rotfl:AQA money is paid around 5 days into the following month so it isn't something to worry about this month although getting a head start would be good.
And then we'll be into December, Christmas etc..and then my contract is up for renewal on 31 Dec and there's no guarantee it will be renewed so I could be back to part time work......mybe 4k by May is a challenge too far and I shouldn't be putting away my warrior outfit yet after all :rotfl:"Stay Wonky":D

BB you have done so well, I wish I could see some pride in your posts
I think once everything settles, next year will be great for you. You and your 4k savings.

Just caught up BB, congrats on being Debt free and what the others said too.xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
