Hi Stacey & SH
It's definitely nice to have some good news for a changeNow all we need is for me to find a job and that's our 3
(They say things happen in 3's, it wasn't the lottery so something else might be hiding around the corner
)
Well, DH has almost finished his training, he's been sent to a different depot this morning for his depot induction as there isn't anyone at the depot he's going to be at to do it. He might start driving tomorrow so will hopefully get to see his uniform soon'I like a man in uniform' comes to mind :rotfl:
Bodies argueing with me again, Monday we didn't really do much, went to where DH will be working to find out how long it will take for him to get there and back from new house, 20 mins so not bad. Then he took me down to find the nearest A*da, going to use home delivery at first as with using the buses and having to get up so much earlier I'm not going to be able to go shopping for a good while. Then he took me to Finchale Abbey to show me where/what it is as he's been mentioning taking me down there at some point, quite a few steps to get down there but well worth it, especially when the sun is shining like it was on Monday, it was beautiful, definitely want to go down again some time, just need DH to pull me up the steps to get back to the car hehe
Can't think of much else today, need to wait for EA to ring to let me know they received the forms, will ring them if haven't heard anything by 2pm.
Hope you've all got nice weather xxx

Great news about the house - I am right in thinking it's the one you posted the link to isn't it? Really pleased for you, paperwork should be a formality now so it's all go - very exciting!
Well done on the grocery challenge btw - that is a BRILLIANT total to come in with under your target! Only wish we could manage to come in under, we're usually near enough spot on as I usually get the same stuff every week!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Morning Jo
Yes it is the house I posted the link to
They said it normally takes 3-4 days for the referencing forms but it has been known to come back within 2 days sometimes (doubt that with my credit report lol but at least it's better than DH's) Spoke to Mum last night and she said she'd prefer the weekend of the 19th as the Royal Cornwall Show is on on the 12th and they go every year, so the 19th might be possible, 3-4 days for the referencing takes us to Mon/Tue (7/8) next week, pay the deposit and rent in advance, wait 5 days to clear Mon/Tue following week (14/15) and move on weekend
The grocery challenge was pure luck! Having to 'make sure' I come in under £30 a week at the moment so that we have enough to pay for moving van and petrol for it, bought the smartprice cornflakes last night hoping they wouldn't be too bad, boy was I wrong, tasted like cardboard with milk on the sidegoing to finish the bag before I get the next load but I won't be buying them again! Yuck.

The forms are being faxed in as I type
They are happy to go ahead without the Landlords details and he's going to send in the copy of our rent book at the same time so they can at least see it, I've paid the fee. They say it can take 3-4 days but sometimes comes back by the next day so we might know tomorrow (not pinning my hopes on tomorrow as we were expecting to know within a week from first company and I was getting a little
about the wait) so this time I'm expecting it to take 3-4 days and if it comes sooner it will be a Lovely suprise
Once the credit check comes back ok (and I can't see any reason why it won't, everything is paid on time) we have to sign another form and a contract, pay months rent and deposit and we can move
:j Still planning on 19th but will see what happens

WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!!!!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
I can't believe it!!! I can now relax a bit as was always stressing about bailiffs with landlord being such a numpty!
The EA need to sort the inventory and keys out, then be ringing me to let me know when we can 'check in' and need to pay depositJust rang Mum and screamed down the phone
hehe She then told me to shout louder so Dad could hear!! So of course, I did as I was told :A hehehehe All DH could do was laugh at me
Hoping to check in sometime in the week so that I can get the measurements for the cooker and order one from Littlewoods to come either before or just after we move in
The fridge/freezer is being sorted by the woman who I viewed the house with, will give her a ring in a bit and double check everything with her
I so happy I could scream

Hi SmlSave, welcome out of lurkdom
Well, with my little (:rotfl:) announcement over withOn with everything else. I've spoken to the woman I viewed the house with and she's ordering the fridge/freezer today, she will give A*gos my contact details so that I can arrange the delivery, I'm going to try and get it for Tue 15th as I have that day off, it was originally for my exam but after I finished college I decided I'd keep the day off and then when I needed to re-arrange my X-ray I made it for that day at 10am. So I will have the afternoon free, if I can I'll arrange the 'check in' for that day as well so that I can get the keys and be able to let in the delivery guys. Got the measurements for the cooker, going to have a look through L*ttlewoods later, I received a letter from them yesterday letting me know that I have £18 in rewards and a code to get £30 off a purchase over £60, so thats £48 to come off the cooker
Will also do it via TCB so will hopefully get some cashback as well
DH's car went for MOT yesterday and failed. Took it to the same guy who fixed my car and they can hopefully fix it, supposed to of been fixed yesterday night and ready to pick up this morning but unfortunately the part hadn't been delivered yesterday! So DH has picked the car up this morning and I'll be taking it back town on Saturday for them to fit the part.
Mum and Dad have transferred the money via Sister for the deposit. Spoke to the EA yesterday about what happens about the days that aren't paid for with moving in half way through this month, it's our choice when we pay the rent so if we wanted we could pay on the same date that we move in, I would prefer to pay on the first of the month so he said they would work out the amount and let me know what the first payment will be. I've put it into spreadsheet and it all works out ok. Hopefully by the end of the year we'll be out of the overdraftMum is paying for the moving van and I'm not sure if I've managed to talk her out of paying for the diesel as well yet, I'm trying to convinve her but I think it will fall on deaf ears as usual! Mum has had to leave her job due to her arthritis getting worse so she wont have money coming in as regular as when she was working so I'd feel much better if she would let us pay for the diesel. If we get the keys earlier than next weekend I can take some little bits down in my car on the evenings, if we get them by end of this week I can do a load of trips this weekend, with DH working on Saturday I'll be having his car to get it fixed and it's bigger so I can fit more in
I've just asked the kitchen staff to keep any biggish boxes for me instead of putting them in the bins
Body is still fighting me!!! Last night wasn't much fun, had painful spasms all on my right side in my back, neck, leg and arm!!! Poor DH was shattered after coming home at midnight night before and I think I kept him awake by tossing and turning trying to get into a comfortable position. He's got dentist in 10 minutes as he's been getting toothache again, watch out bank balance!! lol
Hope everyone is ok and enjoying this glorious (sarcasm) weather!! xxx
