    Morning all
am looking for, and failing to find, my car insurance renewal notice and have a sneaky feeling I may well have shredded it...
    oops

Hope you're not just renewing with the same company! Have you checked out comparison sites and go through a cashback site when you find the cheapest.
Mine should cost me about £175 for the year after cashback.

Bathroom done, just having brekkie then off to the shower. I'll done the study/family room later when DS3 is back as I want to sort some of the toys in there.

Shell - hi hun, nice to see you. I hope your job situation works out well. I seem to remember yonks ago you asking us one day whilst you was at work if you should hand your notice in there and then - was that you or have I gone totally off the plot?

SSarah I'm glad you and hubbie are working it through and I hope that your anniversary will be one of many to come x

When renewing i always ring the company two days before and have never failed to get a cheaper deal ;) it may be only a few pounds but its our few pounds.

If you have not renewed i have a number if you would like it it was £110.00 cheaper last time. PM me good deals for over 30's and 50's

    [/QUOTE]

if you can find time, ring a few companies, each time when they quote you, suck air in over your teeth and say "x has offered y" then stay quiet. when fed up with this game, ring your original company and say "i'd like to stay with you, but x have offered me y, can you beat it?"
good place to start a comparison site, but the bods on the phone do have some leeway. will save tens of pounds at least.

I need to get on with this list but the bath is calling me to get in for a nice soak! I think that will have to be my reward for doing some of the grimier jobs on the list.
I have GOT to find and purchase a new cooker, I really have. Keep checking the comet clearance site but they don't seem to get any 50cm double oven gas cookers. I might just give up and go with currys or someone.

Thanks for the advice, it is a drawer unit with a foldin table thing on top, no-one else on site to borrow anything and I have no mop or brush(gave sweeping brush to NN cause she couldn't find hers(her late husband put it away at the end of last season and she doesn't know where!!)
Will get some sticky tape and see what else I can find when I pop to mr.t in Haverfordwest, this afternoon.

Waste emptied and water filled, DD has had a shower and I am about to have one so no doubt they will need doing again afterwards!!!

    Catch up later..........

Morning all, sorry crashed and burned yesterday, totally knackered.

Anyway did manage to declutter various splodges of rubbish as I went looking for a bit for my kenwood, several rooms, cupboards, boxes, bags, pots...and 2 hours later no joy.

Then discovered the normal choppy blades did the job I wanted it to do anyway so that was a grand waste of time.:o

Anyways, made 2 lasagnes yesterday, one vegetarian (Eldest DD has decided to become one) and one meaty.

    DW x 1

    Aired the big duvet.

Binned a lot of rubbish including old herbs and spices that I found lurking in old boxes.

    Attempted to meal plan ish.

Feel like I need to start completely over on the decluttering and binning, I realised yesterday just how much stuff we have crammed into places. It all needs sorting although some has been thanks to this thread.

    I feel a bit like Canute though.:rotfl:
