Jo - I use a couple of pots filled with boiling water and a hairdryer on its hottest setting. You just need to be careful not to let water drip in the hairdryer. I've crossed off a few more things, i'll post list later. Working inbetween! Have packed up 3 books that I'm swapping and done online postage so they just need posting. Have packed bag with all the goodies for the cream tea this aft (for our volunteers at work) and just need to hang up the washing before I leave. Morning all,
Lazy start to the day here, OH back to work, DD1 out with a friend and DD2 wanting on laptop for cbeebies.
Mozzy - when my DD had chickenpox the advice I got was a tablespoon of bicarb of soda in a bath to 1) bring out the spots and 2) helps sooth them she spent a good part of the day playing in a tepid/warm bath
Pigpen - (((hugs))) nothing worse than not sleeping, would it cause more problems in hubby did stay for one night or would the benefit of a good nights sleep win?
Hex - I have started of things to bin and another to ebay will count them up later and tally up.
Need to find my list and although I was busy yesterday it was all with things which werent on my list.....0 -

and my dad is here mowing the lawn
aargh
(My NNs offered to lend me their mower yesterday but I politely declined, informing them that my parents knew my lawnmower had broken mid mow and would not only lend me their mower but more than likely bring it dowm, mow it, and bring strimmer and strim it (strimmer broke last year))

Terrible Tuesday ~ Master bedroom and Landing Done :j0

Hi everyone. I've not completely caught up with the thread, but have decided to stop sitting here feeling sorry for myself and go out and sit in the sun in MIL's garden. Don't know if I will get any flying done today. Am having a really bad time depressionwise - DH was so worried he nearly phoned the emergency Dr. In the end I stopped crying and begging to die and fell asleep. Feel very low today still. Got to try to do something, and stop thinking about how bad I feel. Sorry to offload on you all, haven't really got anyone to talk to at the moment. Noone seems to understand or have time to listen.
Laura, that hoover for the laptop sounds great! I need one!
JayJay what good news about your brother
JennyBee good news on the keys!
Hugs Flower and Tag and JillD and Jo on the money, we are in exactly the same position. No matter how hard you work there never seems to be enough! There are two days til the rent is due, no more money is due in and we are £120 short still. Ho hum. I will have a scrape around and see if I’ve got any money lurking anywhere! Who knows what will happen if we have to buy petrol before then, I think we will just have to abandon the car and walk to wherever we are going. Seeing as we live in the countryside and both use our cars for work that could be interesting! I can just imagine DH trying to carry his strimmer and tools on the bus, and giving the driver a free grass cut as the payment for his fare!
Toots, hope your treatment today goes better than yesterday
Jo and Tooch I am strict with myself re bags – I have shopping bags and try to keep some in the car, but if I forget to take a bag with me I take the stuff out to the car in the trolley and pack it there, or if there isn’t much just carry it in my arms. Sometimes I do take a plastic bag obviously if it really isn’t possible to do without one!
Hugs Dusty and Mummyof5’s DS, sounds painful
Big hugs Pigpen, could a friend or relative come round to help you at night? I really hope that you get some sleep soon xx I know you probably know this, but apparently insomniacs have to get their body into a rhythm. The advice (not from me, from things I’ve read) is to go to bed at the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning. Having a milky drink, having a warm bath, listening to soothing music, not having caffeine/alcohol/exercise for a few hours before bed is supposed to help too, and not having electrical equipment in the bedroom. The bedroom should be warm and dark but not too hot. Sorry if this is old news. HTH Your GP could probably give you better advice than me! oh, another thing my dad used to do when he was lying awake worrying. He used to say to himself in a firm voice: “I can’t do anything about this now” and then write down what he was worried about (so he wouldn’t then lie awake worrying he would forget to sort it out in the morning). He said it helped quite a lot.
Soappie, plan B sounds intriguing, hope that you can implement it!
WendyWitch what a horrible day that was. I hope your Ex calms down soon. Even if you don’t report it to the police, keep a log of what happens, write down all the phone calls and then if you need to report anything later you will have evidence that he’s been abusive to you and your family
Have just been sent a free ring by my catalogue company! It’s only cheapo costume jewelry but it’s quite pretty and a nice thing to happen
Right, must wash hair, get dressed and go and sit in the sun, which has just gone behind a cloud!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."
