    morning all -

kazw - grrr, i hate losing a post!

DH woke me up at 6.30am, apparently he couldn't sleep so decided to go into work early - unheard of for him, he usually rolls our of bed as late as possible, and gets into work at 9.30. Still, he'll be able to leave very early and get more study done. I got up soon after him and folded a massive airer full of laundry, put some away and put another load on. I'm now at the in laws waiting for the autoglass chap (woman?) to come along! meant to be between 8-11am and be finished by 11 so flylady vibes please that they'll be here soon!

As I can't do any flying here I may as well get on with work, it's a bit early, but I can fly if I have time at home this way. I can do a few other bits from my list of course...

Pigpen – A couple of things that help me if I am woken in the night. I try very hard not to think – the minute the old inner dialogue starts then I am stuck awake. To block it I do ‘sleep, sleep, sleep ‘ in my head till I am back in bed. If I just can’t get to sleep I try to think about positive stuff, so for me I plan the garden. Hope you get things sorted soon.
Serena – shame you can’t make the Gardeners World thing. It’ll be the first time I have the chance to go, finances permitting.
Flower – The BR door is 5’ 4” high and is in a straight line so you can get most stuff in and out. The chaise was just too wide and had to come up through the floor, it is stuck forever now but we don’t plan to move for another 20 years or so. Thanks for the offer on the fabrics, I will let you know once I get that far – probably not in the next few months though depending on how I get on on Friday with this interview.
Gryfon – my kitchen has no cupboards and no worktops. Amazing how fast you can clean it! I have a table and open pantry shelves, a 1950s style sink unit and that is about it. I am deeply envious of your cupboards even if they do take forever to clean.
JayJay – good news about your brother.
Rach, Toots, Rosepink, Lil –me (snowdrops) – I have things I need to do for all of you, I am working today but will try and sort things tonight/tomorrow.
    Flinging challenge
Nicki and Pigpen are the Queens of this at the moment IMHO if you have ever read the de-clutter thread. So far we have me, Soappie, Toots, Tag, SGT, jjef, carol22, 3tabbycats, moonflower, sarahshattered, froddington, jennybee, and Flower. Sorry if I have missed anyone!
Phew, big catching up post. Off to strip our bed and get the bedding into the WM before I go to work.

So far this morning I have cleaned the bath, basin & shower in my bathroom... I must now use the shower and get dressed before the gardener arrives!

Pigpen - the epsom salt baths really do work. Get everything ready before you get in the bath, otherwise you may wake yourself up a bit. Bung some epsom salts in the bath (start with a mug full and work up each night until you find the right does), run the water in, sprinkle a few drops of lavendar essential oil on it. Get in (I always take a book) and lie there for at least 15 minutes either reading (trash is best... stops you thinking) or thinking of nothing. I try to make sure I'm clean beforehand, as washing afterwards undoes the relaxation a bit! I'm accidentally overdid the epsom salts one day last week and was so dopey I could hardly get myself out of the bath and into bed! I also keep books in the spare half of my bed... there's no room for anyone else in it, so I don't see it as empty space!

    Morning lovelies!

    Welcome back mudders x

Back to work today, it was nice to be off but it's even nicer to get back to 'normal' I miss being out and about when I'm not.

Spent most of yesterday at OH's helping him so with doing my own list and being there it was another productive day.....teenie also made himself a shelving unit out of his old tv stand :money: his TV and other electrical gibble are all housed neatly now in a cupboard we can't do anything with (council in-built, can't knock it down thing) so there's more room on his floor now.

Today's listy, bedroom is fine but there's a couple of bits I want to do that's on todays list, will add them to my own.

Terrible Tuesday ~ Master bedroom and Landing
    Level Two
Wipe all the doors and frames upstairs
    Level Three
    Tidy a cupboard/chest of drawers

    my list:
hoover dining room (sawdust trailed in)
need to gt hoover from OH's first
    S&S kitchen
    empty DW
    reload DW
    sort workbag
    make beds
    sort tea
    top-up shop at Morrisons
    make shopping list^^
    sort tea
    WM
    tidy living room
    get gas/elec

I'm gonna get teenie to do the kitchen stuff whilst I'm out. I'll get on with some other bits now.

Morning all it is lovely and sunny here and quiet too. Kids went to bed late with family here so the younger two are still asleep.

PigPen I hope you got a little sleep and that you get a bit more tonight. Is it being on your own in the bed or the constant worry.

Struggling to wake up this morning so just having a cuppa and a list plan.

Hex I've never been to Gardener's World. Is the parking easy. Are you going as a whole flylady day out or going with other friends and just meeting up for part of the day?

Looking at these lists, it doesnt look as though Ive done much but i promise I have! :rotfl:

TAG - I love Kim and Aggie too! They were on Discovery RealTime all day, there was episodes I hadnt seen before and also Kim and Aggie Clean America. I had never seen any of the American episodes before but they were far more gross than anything I had seen in the UK!! One woman had cat vomit all over her house and POO in her bed!! And she slept in it!!! I love it in a sick sort of way and it inspires me to make sure my house never gets like that!!

Greebee and TooChoosey - I also have some in the boot of my car (only 2 or 3 - not enough for a big shop) but i never remember to take those in either  Thats a good idea about putting it in the trolley and then packing it at the car....... Must remember that in future. Cardboard boxes are the best though, you can fit loads in the boxes and less trips back and forth to the car and they fit in the boot better :D

Jill - I totally know how you feel about the money situation. I always have to budget tightly - ALL THE TIME!! For food, utilities, everything, you name it. I always seem to be stuggling no matter how tightly i budget and scraping around to make sure it all gets paid. I just remind myself all the time that it wont always be like this. Debt cant last forever! Keep pushing however you can to get the credit rating sorted and check with the CAB to see if there is anything else you can do to speed up the process. You will get there, even on the days it doesnt seem like it! Dont give up - big hugs xx

You should do an inventory of what is in your cupboards and freezer. Sometimes (like me) you come across things you didnt even know you had! Work out what you can make into meals using the items you already have and then you will only need to shop for any extra bits and pieces you may need to go with those meals, plus milk, bread, fruit and veg. I have saved lots of money that way on my really 'skint' weeks! :D

Im about to do the same thing as Ive spent a bit of money on my house and my credit cards when i was in London, so am tightening my belt and clearing those down again (plus i really need to use the freezer up and get it defrosted and mended!).

If you want to compare notes, inventories, or are looking for meal and recipe suggestions, pm me if you want, or post here - some of the receipe suggestions on here are terrific and hopefully your family will love them too!

Toots - love'n'hugs to you lovely - I havent caught up with the thread properly but gather you have been in for more treatment, so am sending you a big squishy hug.

Pigpen - Camomile tea and a hot bath before bed can some times help you relax and go to sleep. Or is it the staying asleep cos your mind is racing thats the problem? You need to try and switch off from everything......suck eggsish i know, and eaiser said than done especially with all that is going on. Hugs to you anyway. Last resort is to get some tablets from the Doc. Personally i didnt like them as they make you feel rough the next day, but the sleep itself helps. xx

Love and hugs to all xxx
