I stupidly had a nosy on facebook to see what my friends have been up to while we were away and it has struck me yet again how some people just have no money worries (I know they really don't its not just how it seems) and I find it really hard to deal with sometimes. Does that sound mean and selfish? Jillx
No Jill, know exactly how you feel - it always seems other people around us seem to be doing stuff/spending money on designer stuff for their kids/etc... and we can never afford it... It's so frustrating, as I am trying really hard to make extra payments, put some away for savings for rainy days, etc, but it's still keeps going... And whats more annoying at the moment is we are both earning quite well, but still have nothing, and people where we live are on benefits (not knocking anyone on benefits by the way, been there myself...;)) have more than we do and their kids always have new stuff, I just don't know how they manage it and it's so demoralizing... Ooh, sorry, bit of a rant there, might be the £210 we just had to pay out for both cars as BOTH needed new brakes and hubby's needed new discs too and mine needs an MOT tomorrow (god knows what else it might need) and had to have 2 new tyres - that's my rainy day savings plus some all gone already...
Still, had a nice time at Lydden Hill, except it wasn't like it used to be - they raced 3 cars at a time when they used to race about 8 - more like a time trial than a race, but it was good to see some old faces from years back - Pat Durran was there and his eldest son also races and the sad thing was his younger son, who is now 16, was there too, his wife was pregnant when we saw them last... Even the little chef was closed and is now called 'Fab's Diner' (didn't quite live up to it's name though...:rotfl:)I actually do quite enjoy ironingand would happily do yours:D. Don't know how mine got so out of control this time. I think it was down to months of insomnia!!
I also want to grow my own and have chickens like Tom & Barbara, I would love that - again not sure about time but I suppose as long as you pop out each evening to check on stuff it should be OK? (she says hopefully) I just want to wait till we move back to Stanford before I start - I want my 'permanent' home if you like - not start it here and then have to move and leave it... any ideas?Ok I may attempt this! Going for a double pronged attack with another forum so should manage it!
Big Hugs Toots - glad you've got through it, although it must have been horrible not being able to breath... hope it helped just a bit thinking of us, we were all thinking of you... :A
Sorry everyone else, I have got up to page 7 and then came to the last page as not got a lot of time, but just had to check on Toots to see how she was...
OK, back to flying... well, bottom line is I'm poggered out with all that fresh air and walking today (you would have been proud of me rach...) so will attempt the kitchen as a lot is already done like the washing up... so here goes...

Flylady London Meet
Saturday 25th April
We will meet upstairs at London Bridge station at approx 12:00. We can get a drink and sit down whilst we wait for people to arrive.
The plan is to then go on a walk (thank you rach) round some lovely back streets to the river, and over Tower Bridge to St. Katharine Docks. The walk should take less than an hour.
We will then have lunch / drink / whatever people want in a pub / pizza place at the Docks and can stay there for as long as we want.
Hope that sounds ok for people.
I will be coming into Waterloo station and am happy to chaperone anyone who is not confident on tube lines etc. Just let me know where you want to be met and we will sort something out.
Please PM me if you are interested in coming. Children welcome!

I cant come obviously as i'm miles away, but have a drink for me as it will be my birthday.
Toots - glad it went as well as it could, sounds a bit scary though.
Still haven't done my floor yet as i was cooking dinner, had chicken enchiladas and corn on the cob and it was scrummy:DThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

The weather has been miserable all day and told DD I would take her to a play centre place in Haverfodwest tomorrow if its still like this, so I will take my books wit hme and hopefully get something done!!!!
Hope you are well and have had good days. Toots, glad it all went well for you today, my thoughts are with you for the rest xx0 -
Evening everyone :hello:
Toots good to hear you're back and ok. Yeuck to stinky bloke. Poor you having to put up with that! I'm always torn between the knowledge that my telling them they stink will upset and offend, but that I'm being offended by their stink...I once had an electrician doing some work here wearing the same nylon shirt for 3 days!  It was bad by lunchtime day1 . But by close of play day3 it was horrific!! I was just about to hand him deoderant and tell him he was really offensive, when he finished and left.
Back from my Dad's, roast pork... gorgeous! I had a lovely snooze on the sofa while the children played in the garden with Dad and StepMum. Fab!
Off to bath children and get them to bed. We're going to see Monsters-v-Aliens tomorrow, so I'll need to get my list done early again. (hopefully)

Mozzy The slide is about 15 ft high with holes up the back that the kids use to climb up. There is an arch at the top where the hose is attached and sprinkles water down the slide. When the kids slide down they land in a mini pool of water. It is air inflated.
My aunt and uncle sent this up last year when they moved house.
Greenbee they live at Docking.
I love the Norfolk lavender and last year we went to Bewilderwood near Gt Yarmouth www.bewilderwood.co.uk and this is well worth a visit for anyone with kids.
Toots i hope you are feeling ok Honey. I was thinking about you today.
Hugs to all who need them xxxx:beer: Officially Debt Free Nov 2012 :beer:0
