If my husband applies for a credit card will it be looked on as a joint credit card with me as his wife?
im already with mbna and he'd like the virgin credit card which is from the same company.
he hasn't had a credit card before.

nope, only if he added you as an additional cardholder (financially linked).
credit cards do not come as joint, only sole.

He wont' get a good card like the virgin one, mainly due too him not having any credit history. So he is limited too Vanquis-Cap1..0

yes mate, thats what all the lenders/cra's say but whether they update this is another matter. You do have to warn people mate, remember my surprise when you told me you weren't linked but then I did say to you that to prove it you need the mrs to get her cf - it would show only on the main account holder cf as the main account holder is liable for the debt, not the addition.
Hope that makes it crystal for you now mate! Unless you see the g/f report you'll never know for sure but I bet you'll be shocked, also bet thats a lot of why she getting refused credit.... cos they will link her to you, not necessarily you to her unless you financially link her directly at your end!
Phew! :T

Oh forgot to mention
he did have a hsbc credit card about 3-4 yrs ago we were cohersed into applying while out one day lol long story
it arrived and we duly ripped it up and closed the account will that count as credit history ?
He wants to apply for afew and then choose the best one and cancel the rest
his credit history short term isn't a problem how many searches can be done without
it starting to have an affect ?0
