Hi, I've just read this thread in full and I am sorry for what is happening to you, what a horrible thing to having this hanging over you.

I just wanted to add that you can click on someones name, then 'view profile' then just on the right 'add xx to your ignore list' and those posts will then be hidden ;) It'll give you something less to think about and they'll get bored and go troll someone else before long. Right now you are feeding it!!

Fingers crossed that those dates do not add up and something comes of that.

Are the carers the ONLY people who visit the lady? The only people who have keys? What about family?

Thank you for all your replies.
Cathryn107, Unfortunately they will only allow another member of staff or a union representative. I havent spoken to anyone from work since this happened and im not a member of a union. The MD has already said that he will only allow one of the two in.

They won't let you take your legal representative in? Are they mad? All grist to your lawyers mill - but I'd be sure and get that statement in writing.

"Miss A picked up the morning post and newspapers as normal and that there was a packet for Mrs B. Miss A has told Mrs B that when she picked it up it had felt like there was something in the packet. When Mrs B came home from work the packet was empty apart from an advice note"

This gets sillier every time I read something new from your employer! From this, they don't even know for sure that something was stolen on that occasion! "Felt like there was something in the packet" - so she regularly checks her neighbours mail to see what's in it does she? And the police are checking you? And "Felt like" isn't exactly proof-positive, either! Did they get a warrant and search Miss A's rooms? I suspect not!

Also, didn't they already tell you not to speak to people that you work with.....?

I think they have already made up thier mind and you seem to have accepted this - sort of, it would be very hard to return to this job now I think - you just need to make sure that they know you'll not be walked over and you'll fight it all the way.
  • Just so everyone knows, I have spoken to the OP at great length this evening and advised her accordingly.

As said earlier, I am a HR Professional and just wish I was nearer this lady to attend the meetings with her - would tear this Employer apart :)

    Except you wouldn't be allowed.

Did they not teach you that at your HR school ;)

I always thought you could have a witness of your choosing with you - at least thats what they told me when I was removed from my job.

I too had a nasty experience, except that in my case it was that my manager just didn't like me. He made me drive all the way to Lincoln from Leeds, wouldn't tell me why (this was after I'd been working since 5-30 in the morning - & he could see when I'd logged on), just to sit there saying "I don't think you're taking this job seriously."

    "What do you mean?"

"Well I just don't think you're taking this job seriously."

"Tell me why you think that so I can fix the problem."

"Well, I just don't think you're taking this job seriously."

There were some other factors like the little cow sticking the knife in by constantly slagging me off to the boss was sh*gging my colleague, so I guess to make him look better she made me look bad, but I couldn't be bothered arguing the toss.

Who wants to work with people like that anyway?

You do have the right to be accompanied, however (unless the employers policy is more generous) this person must be either a fellow employee or a trade union representative.
    Gone ... or have I?

As said earlier, I am a HR Professional

Reminds me of the guy on benidorm who keeps repeating 'i have 5 sunbed shops in manchester'. :)
Sorry but i saw through you when you said in a previous post that employers are not allowed to give bad references.
