And now I think it's time I got back to watching Casualty as was midway through but crept back on here. Again.
I don't post on here but do browse.
Unfortunately they are very commercialised. The pyramids are only a stones throw from Cairo.
I found the Valley Of The Kings much more interesting.
And the Temple of Ramesses at Abu Simbel is a awe inspiring. To think it was actually moved to make way for the Aswan High Dam is mind boggling. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Simbel
I really hope you manage to get to see these places one day and any others on your wish list.

OK, so is anyone haing a BBQ today? Its gloriously sunny here and I thought about it but decided not to bother - only me and my son and he's not fussed!
Still managed to get him motivated enough to help me put up our tent to check it - its not been out of its bag for over 5 years but is in as new condition! I'll work on more motivation later for helping me to get it down!!BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500 -
No bbq here - we moved some stuff to the new house, then I put on my hairdresser hat and braided two of the girls' hair. I swear, it grows an inch or two every week - it's taking longer and longer to plait!! Done now (until tomorrow when I do the other one's head) so am due a long hot shower, a manicure and a pedicure and plenty of cuddles on the sofa :cool:Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

Enjoy the cuddles, my son is a bit too old for cuddles (he's 14 in about a fortnight) and my 3 year old is at her Dad's till tomorrow morning so no cuddles for me until then! :sad:BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500

Have a hug from me (((((HUGS)))))))
Tis our favourite time - the four of us pile onto the sofa to watch cartoons together, complete with duvet. Not sure how much longer the 13year old will want to take part - hopefully I've got some time!Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

I know - its so sad, my son used to be so affectionate but now I only get a cuddle on his birthday (only major ones) and Christmas - mind you the Christmas pressies have to be worth it to get one. I suppose I have to cut the strings at some point though - he is 18 afterall!!
My nearly 17 year old daughter will still give me a cuddle but not her dad and to think she used to sit in his lap etc. I suppose it would be inappropriate now.

Evening everybody
Firstly I would like to say thank you to everyone who offered words of support to me yesterday when I was not on top form shall we say..
Secondly I'd like to apologise if this turns into a long and boring post..
Today has been a bit of a mixed bag of a day, woke up feeling more positive and was going to enjoy a day of bumming around after all my hard work yesterday cleaning the house..
Received a text from EHTB saying he had got a letter from the loan company we had a joint loan with before I went BR. Because I stopped paying my half, the loan is now in £800 of arrears and they are demanding the money from him by next week. So, he took it out on me via text, saying I'd ruined his life, credit rating etc etc and how was he supposed to find the money.. I responded by saying sorry, all I could say really. I never set out to ruin his life and leave him with this debt, in a way I wish I'd never met him, then I wouldn't be where I am now and neither would he..
So, mood hit an all time low and then I decided to fight back.. Sink or swim as they say..
I text him and said I was sorry he was put in this position, but it was his decision to leave and he left me no choice but to go BR, so tough..
Then, I did my ironing! The pile was about 4 foot high (no joke) but I stood there and ironed every last thing.. Then, just as I was about to drop, my 5 year old asked if we could do so gardening, so out into the garden I went, hacked away at a big bush that has been overgrowing onto the lawn, dug up a few dandelions and then put my Girls Aloud CD on very loud and danced around the kitchen while I made a lovely roast dinner..
Have rewarded myself with a couple of beers and am now sitting down with my body protesting very loudly at all the physical exertion it has been put through in the last two days!
Anyway to end, and for anyone who managed to read this far I thought I'd add the lyrics to a song that is very inspirational to me and never fails to make me feel positive.. It's by Take That and called Never Forget, I have put the lines in red that I think say it all...
Been on this path of life for so long
Feel Ive walked a thousand miles
Sometimes strolled hand in hand with love
Everybodys been there
With danger on my mind I would stay on the line of hope
I knew I could make it
Once I knew the boundaries I looked into the clouds and saw
My face in the moonlight
Just then I realised what a fool I could be
Just cause I look so high I dont have to see me
Finding a paradise wasnt easy but still
Theres a road going down the other side of this hill
Never forget where youve come here from
Never pretend that its all real
Someday soon this will be someone elses dream
Been safe from the arms of disappointment for so long
Feel each day weve come too far
Yet each day seems to make much more
Sure is good to be here
I understand the meaning of i cant explain this feeling
Now it feels so unreal
At night I see the hand that reminds me of the stand I make
The fact of reality
Never forget where youve come here from
Never pretend that its all real
Someday soon this will be someone elses dream
Weve come so far and weve reached so high
And weve looked each day and night in the eye
And were still so young and we hope for more
But remember this
Were not invincible, were not invincible - no
Were only people, were only people
Hey were not invincible, were not invincible
So again Ill tell you
Never forget where youve come here from
Never pretend that its all real
Someday soon this will be someone elses dreamBSC No: 2450 -
All that ironing and gardening must have been very therapeutic. I'd hate to know what you were thinking about when you were hacking the garden??

Well I Would say my EHTB's head, but no, I'm far too civilised and not at all bitter! :rotfl:
You should see the state of my arms, looks like I've been self harming!
