Especially here and some parts of Israel.

And now I think it's time I got back to watching Casualty as was midway through but crept back on here. Again.

Never been to Egypt...looks very interesting though....bet would be good to see the old tombs & whats left of the ancient cities.

I`d like to walk on the grand canyon skywalk & drive a motorbike across Australia....trouble is I`d first need to find a millionaire who likes to travel:D:D....preferable with his own personal private jet/yacht....etc etc...I guess I can dream.

Coincidentally I bought a book about CASUALTY today....cost me all of 10p...listed already !! I keep skipping between turbo-lister & MSE :rotfl:

Right, better get back to Jessica as she was about to give birth but fell down the stairs and Evil Dr (Michael French) is about to get Good Dr Truman into trouble by getting him kicked off (using the usual evil means; because he knows Evil Dr's secret) off the ED team. On top of that a restaurant has just blown up because the disgruntled son of someone tampered with the gas supply so it would blow up her new husband. And that is in the first 15 minutes.:rolleyes:;)

lol....reminds of a poster on the HP&R forum who gives a short synopsis of relocation. relocation programmes....step by step with her thoughts on the `action` ! ...very funny !

    Personally I prefer ER.:D:D
  • Avesbury, yes. Ancient places are my 'thang'. Goodnight for now. Probably be back later at around 3 I expect. :o:rolleyes:
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

    Night night Merlin

Hi Jim ...I`ve been there as I know Salisbury area quite well ( even looked at houses in Ludgershall). Went to Stonehenge a few times but so overrun with tourists....was surprised that the council would allow a busy motorway right next to it though !

Edit....did you take those pictures yourself?

Yes, all mine. Those two are a couple of years old though.

Avebury is like an anti-Stonehenge. If you go in the week, there's a dozen people there. The sense of peace is tangible.

And it has become something of a place of sanctuary to me. A place to go when times are bad - and when times are good. I used to live in Wiltshire (Warminster and Trowbridge) so the countryside is familiar too. The worst it will do when you are feeling really bad is throw wind and rain at you - not always a bad thing either.

Mine is Chatsworth.....just sit in the car....watch the deer running across the hillsides & in & out of the woods...Even with cars passing through the park is does`nt spoil it. There is an old village in the park that is so picturesque with its old houses & little cafe.

Cattle grids are a bit annoying but watching the odd sheep that finds standing in the middle of the road holding up the traffic is quite amusing.

Just the peacefulness of it all really.

Just realised time...noticed Dalips up before I`ve even gone to bed!!!!

Sounds lovely. Just had a look at the website - they even have a forum. Not quite as busy as MSE though...

I hope Dalip isn't up for her morning coffee and a fag. It's twirly!

I had better chip, although still not tired. I should be knackered after that walk earlier... Ho hum...
