Would think Access or another database would be better for that.

Also, if it is going to be in an officey sort of file, it would be nice if it can work in Open Office (unlike the budget spreadsheet!)

Any information such as this, stored on your computer, should be copied to CD-ROM
or other media and stored off-site (ie in a locked desk at work, or in a solicitor's/IFA's office, etc). Therefore if your house is burgled or burns down, you still have the data.

Location of Will, insurance policies, etc in the event of the "worst" happening
