That sounds like a plan Dream, £500 would be a lovely pot. I'd love to be able to have enough spare to pay my Dad back even a fraction of what he's given me over the years.

My son's pocket money really comes from the maintenance I get for him so a little like your middle child. My youngest, at 3, isn't fussed about pocket money either just so long as she gets an occasional surprise from me - freecycle and charity shops are great for that, got a Dora DVD the other day for £2!! Lost count how many times she's watched it since.

  • Don't mention the parents! My mum has given me a fortune since my husband left in September, just to keep me afloat. Thing is, my stepdad isn't working atm and can no longer claim jsa, so it is just my mums wage keeping them afloat, which makes me feel so guilty.

I am going to start giving her £10 a week, not much but all I can afford, just to start paying some of it back.

no need to thank me, just nicked off the freebies board. I do think those boards are well worth a look I have had alsorts of treats for myslef and kids through those boards. Had a nice full sized rimmel mascara delivered to me last week, was very pleased as my old one had ran out 2wk previous and I couldnt afford a new one! Iv had magazines and treats for the kids, well worth a look in our situation!
  • God I worry myself sometimes. Just looked at my email and had one from a book club that I belong(ed) to telling me I owed them £32.00. Just as I was worrying where I was going to find this extra money, I realised this was for stuff I ordered in January pre BR so I don't have to pay it!

Another one for the OR :D

Note: I know it sounds like it but I'm not gloating about dodging yet another bill - honestly!

Well, with me stopping paying my Creditors next month I'll have £400 when I get paid on the 26th of this month plus what I'll save by stopping paying NP (£43) that means I'll only have to find about £60! Now what can I sell that I've got left thats worth anything? Of course I could use the money I was 'putting by' (according to my SOA) for holidays and its gets there Its becoming closer by the day, me being ready to go BR!! Just need time to study the forms (and talk to CCCS) and I'm ready to go!! I'm excited and nervous all in one and dreading going to court on my own but sure it will be fine.
