Tesco Codes - Discussion Thread

Does anyone know if the various extra points codes work on the subtotal & thus if you make an order with BOGOF only items the minimum spend effectively is half. It seems it works when you place the order, but now I am thinking that it might be refused at the delivery stage as has happended with the 1500 points on £50.00 spend, although the reasoning for the latter is different

So I suppose my question is does anyone successfully use points codes with BOGOF & thus get away with spending 50% less

This has always worked for me, maybe not to the extent of 50% but if after BOGOFS the price is below the spending threshold i've always had my points awarded.

just recieved my shopping and didnt get 1500 points,

i wont phone up, cos it will draw attention to my accounts .

I have just received my shopping without the 1500 points. I am going to phone and complain, but where do I say I got the code from? Will they ask? Thanks a lot for all the advice.

Has anyone looked at the code since they banked it ... says 1500 points on WINE order! Perhaps that's where we're all going wrong ...

Orderd mine friday, came this morning, no points as expected, i phoned cs i wasn't asked where the code came from or what the code was she apologised and said she'd add them manually.

Posted yesterday that discount codes are no longer working and they have disappeared-oops!

Anyway, 10 and 15 pounds codes for shopping of over 75 and 100 pounds worth of shopping arent being accepted anymore, looks like Tesco are clamping down now, especially due to imbeciles who sell the codes on ebay.

Just wanted to ask I have a 500 point till spit voucher for £15 spend on kids clothing. Can I purchase the said clothing use the voucher for the extra points - then return the clothing a few days later or will the 500 points also get removed.

Any help most appreciated

I've had till spits for say 750 extra points when I spend £30 on clothes and I've bought a couple of pairs of jeans, received my points, then taken them back a few days later. I've never been questioned about the points and have always (so far) kept them.
