Tesco Codes - Discussion Thread

  • Hi Everyone -

This may sound like a very silly question but I just wonder how you all seem to clock up so many tesco points, in such small amounts of time.

I am new to the tesco thing - but am hoping to save lots of points to help pay for my holidays next year. I spend approx £250 per month on food, and also buy cases of wine (quite regular!!)

    Thanks

    hi,

if you go back on this thread you will get some great tips. My post that was number 661 and number 666 had some good info... Also def read the Tesco websites...
why not test if a code works for you first before doing your entire shopping???

Tesco is really tightening up on its targetted codes. To do a test shop, just pop a few expensive bottles of spirit, like the £18.99 vodka and go to checkout. Then enter any voucher codes that you want to test and see if they are accepted. If they are go back and amend your order for what you actually want to buy. You can also use that method to bank a newly released code while it is working in the first 2/3 days. Until you confirm your order you will not be charged for anything.

    I love the points codes best myself. At the moment we have 3 general points codes that I know of, that appear to be working for most people on paid to shop and Tesco loyalty forum. They are;

XX-T696 gives 750 bonus points on £75 spend, valid 1 September - 13 October - leaflet included with peoples statements.

XX-D4G2 gives 1000 points on a £75 spend, valid to 29 October - food club mailing

XX-TRLM gives 100 points with no minimum spend, valid to 29 October - food club mailing

Don't forget to join all the Tesco clubs so you might also get some of the targetted codes for yourself.

There are also so many other ways that you can hope to gain tesco points besides just using online codes...

There is an internet phone offer at the moment where you can gain 1000 points for topping up, the saving account where you only need £1000 balance for a few days to get a 1000 points.

Wine codes are great, sell any excess bottles onto friends and family for a small loss and keep the points for yourself.

Points offers on items instore that you may be able to sell on...

Points leaflets instore on goods that you can stock up on...

Join up with all the teso clubs for each clubcard account that you hold - you get points coupons from them...

Offer to order shopping for your neighbours to save their legs and that helps you to get enough shopping for your points codes...

Watch and join the Paid to shop website (tesco section and ) TLP site (Tesco loyalty points forum), for hints on other ways of bumping your points and new offers. If you join them they both a a coupon swaping section for members as well. Which is why its worth have a virtual baby for the babyclub mailing even if you didn't need nappies coupons you can always swap them.

Hi booked a slot with Tesco for next week a few days ago and just did a £40 ish shop as hadn't got time to finish it. Have gone back in and made it up to over £100 and want to use the £15 off code but it isn't taking me to that screen anymore (where you enter the code) and all slots are full for that day now is there anyway of doing it now or not??

Any help greatly appreciated from you experts out there!

    Thanks!

thanks for this cancelled order and rearranged it for another day to make use of code.
  • Furrypig, your current basket will be saved by the Tesco site anyhow so you don't need to check out to be able to save it.

If you want it for a certain date and time and to use a code then you can just bump your order up with a few high value items - I use the £19 vodka - but be sure to remember to amend it before the delivery day.

(They've had 2 people on the PTS site with rather large alcholic deliveries that they really didn't need recently - funny to read but not funny to receive)

I had this happen to me and I rang them up about it to complain and they told me that once the order had been delivered I should write to them, giving details of the order etc and the code and they would enter it manually. Didn't hold out much hope really but they responded quickly with a letter saying that they had aded the points on!
  • I hope I've posted this on the correct board ...... can anyone help with what products Tesco have in store that have bonus points on as I have a double points coupon I need to use by 17 September.

    Thanks.
