Tesco Codes - Discussion Thread

Lady K, why not test if a code works for you first before doing your entire shopping???
Tesco is really tightening up on its targetted codes. To do a test shop, just pop a few expensive bottles of spirit, like the £18.99 vodka and go to checkout. Then enter any voucher codes that you want to test and see if they are accepted. If they are go back and amend your order for what you actually want to buy. You can also use that method to bank a newly released code while it is working in the first 2/3 days. Until you confirm your order you will not be charged for anything.
I love the points codes myself. At the moment we have 3 general points codes that I know of, that appear to be working for most people on paid to shop and Tesco loyalty forum. They are;
XX-T696 gives 750 bonus points on £75 spend, valid 1 September - 13 October - leaflet included with peoples statements.
XX-D4G2 gives 1000 points on a £75 spend, valid to 29 October - food club mailing
XX-TRLM gives 100 points with no minimum spend, valid to 29 October - food club mailing
Don't forget to join all the Tesco clubs so you might also get some of the targetted codes for yourself.Hello :j  :j0 -

They are worth £10 in the store (don't spend them), but are worth a beautiful £40 for any of the Tesco deals...Hello :j  :j0 -

A complimentry site to TLF (Tesco loyality Forum) was set up called Paid to Shop mainly for chat and tips for the cashback sites , but the adminstrator thought otherwise, and apparently all H*** was let loose.
All of the TLF Mods were banned, including Gizmos who was an adminstrator, plus a few others, some are allowed back into TLF now. Then some of the most helpful and experienced people that were on the TLF site have moved to the new site in support of them. They now have a Tesco clubcard section as well as cashback sites on there. It will def bear watching as a lot of very high and active points collecters are now on that new site.
Have a read of the older posts and threads in the Paid to Shop site, under the general discussion section, esp the one called no "obliteration" of LPS site way back on page 3. Seems like it got really nasty, i was ill and missed a lot of posts,but.... I honestly can't believe that the banned people would have done anything like they were accused of, as they were always so helpful and seemed to do so much work in maintaining and running the TLF site

Of course, thats only one side of the story. They left out the bit about deleting all the posts before their planned leaving date....“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Nope, I disagree. I have read the posts that were left on the TLF site, as Pointsmker seemed to have gone on a mission herself deleting posts and threads, so members that were late couldn't get the whole story.
If you read the other site they are actually horrified and hurt to be accused of that, and don't hide the fact that is what pointsmaker thought was going to happen. they certainly don't act like people with anything to hide.
Did you ever see some of the spam and !!!!!! links that had popped up in the last few weeks, etc, which would account for all the deletions that happened recently before the meltdown days..??? They asked everyone to pm a mod the moment someone opened a thread with them on ASAP. And they had posted that they were going to tidy up the site and archive (?) some old threads weeks ago. I worried about losing my posting tally as none of them knew what would happen to the counts when they did that.
They appeared to work very hard at helping people and maintaining the site and I don't think they were even thanked in the end just banned.
I find the sad thing is that pointsmaker for whatever reason hadn't been around for monthes and decided to accept one persons version over and above a lot of other peoples... Gizmos had already told lots of people about the PTS site and not many went there until this all happened.
She also didn't have a Tesco section until the TLF site crashed for ages and we were all worried about losing such a wonderful forum, and only then offered to help us reunite in the future if Pointsmaker and Captain still didn't seem interested in helping. maintaining, or being a part of the forum any more.Hello :j  :j0 -
mcdonag wrote:I take it you have multiple clubcards then? As you can only use the phones five times I thought or is there a workaround for that one?
Any more tips on would be much appreciated.
Yes we have a few cards, luckily my stepchilren are also over 18 so can hold cllubcards, even if I actually shop for them. Plus I have seperate virtual accounts and plastic accounts for each of us.
Each card can recycle 5 phones, so 10 clubcard numbers = a potential 15,000 points. A phone tha stitches on is 300 points, a dub is 50 points. Once i have this quarter done, I'm going to test out what happens if i lose my clubcard so that I'll actually get a new clubcard number, and can hopefully then send more phones..
There is so many other ways that you can hope to gain tesco points besides just using online codes...
There is an internet phone offer at the moment where you can gain 1000 points for topping up, the saving account where you only need £1000 balance for a few days to get a 1000 points.
Wine codes are great, sell any excess bottles onto friends and family for a small loss and keep the points for yourself.
Points offers on items instore that you may be able to sell on...
Points leaflets instore on goods that you can stock up on...
Join up with all the teso clubs for each clubcard account that you hold - you get points coupons from them...
Offer to order shopping for your neighbours to save their legs and that helps you to get enough shopping for your points codes...
Watch the TLF (Tesco loyalty forum) and Paid to shop (tesco section), for hints on other ways of bumping your points and new offers. If you join them they both a a coupon swaping section for members as well. Which is why its worth have a virtual baby for the babyclub mailing even if you didn't need nappies coupons you can always swap them.Hello :j  :j0 -

Well most of that is rubbish and I can say that because I am Pointsmaker. I havent accepted one persons version, no-one has explained to me what has happened, only one of the ex mods has given me their version so what am I supposed to think? Dont tell me it was spam that was deleted because I can see in the moderators log exactly which posts were deleted, when and by whom. There were only 4 threads left in the archive, so dont tell me posts were archived!! Plus I can see in the mods forum that one person was concerned about the mass deletion of posts, so I know it went on.
I have had to delete posts since this happened because people were using my forum to take the mick and that aint gonna happen. Several threads on the discussion arent necessary.

Hey, take a chill pill, no offence. I don't believe its rubbish its the truth as I see it.
As you can see from the posts I have here on MSE already, without knowing you were here,I have already mentioned both TLF and PTS, I am just a member of those forums and enjoy them both without prejudice. That why i am linking to and promoting them both still on here.
What I have said on here is the impression of circumstances that I have gained of what happened on and to the TLF forum.
Did you ever try asking the mods that were banned??
Did you ban them or did the Captain ban them???
What about the disguisting pictures and links that appeared on the TLF forum a few weeks ago, they must have been deleted cause I can't see them now...
Can you find the thread and read it where everyone was worried about you in case you were really ill???
Why did you abandon the TLF for monthes, then come back and hurt the people who had kept it going???
Several threads were started because people were obviuosly upset about what happened there. A gentle, caring and kind forum suddenly erupted into chaos. I hate seeing the stickys and threads where people like Chickencottage and Gizmos, etc, have the word BANNED under their user names...
Thats why after just reading MSE for monthes I have decided to come here instead.
Actually if this was the TLF at this point you would lock the thread or delete it, wouldn't you???Hello :j  :j0 -

Like I said ^ ^
and for reference i didnt ban them, that was done by CC before I was able to get online. I have emailed some of the ex mods and received no replies from some of them. The ones I have received replies from have been reinstated as members. It would have been nice if one of them could have approached me after this happened to put their side across.
Like I said, you need to know both sides before making a comment and you cant possibly know unless you are one of the people involved.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -

I have never ever said that it wasn't and have linked to the TLF loads on my MSE posts already. Why would I do that if I had any dislike of the site?
Tlf introduced me to Tesco points and has taught me loads. I wish all the MSE newbies would go and look at both sites so they could learn to get extra from Mr T too. :T
I am just upset:sad: because of what has happened there recently at. Some of the people that are banned moved with you from the old forum site last year. That old site was the only way some of us were able to get in touch when your forum crashed a few monthes ago, and no-one had authority to fix it.Hello :j  :j0
