Tesco Codes - Discussion Thread

Hi, just had my shopping delivered and the 100 points has gone through as 1000 on my statement, so it's not too late.
Thank you Whiteorchid, brilliant spot.0 -
The whole wine code thing is a total mystery to me. My points total leapt by 4000 points last week, and I think they are probably wine codes from before Christmas and in the New Year that had never appeared. Anyway happy they are here now, so don't give up hope.No idea how many £2 coins as they are in a big tin.....but at least £20 since Christmas. :j0

I used the xx-7DJ3 code for 1,000 points. Said 100 when ordered but it's just arrived and receipt says 1000! I only spent £6.77 including delivery so it's well worth it if you plan to use the points on clubcard deals. I ordered the 3 for 2 domestos offer so I've also got 75p in coupons too! Really pleased. :j0

Sadly it is things like this that will encourage Tesco to make codes that they issue person/clubcard specific. There was alot of people abusing a code that had no minimum spend on around Christmas time and not long after we lost the Tesco Code thread from here and there doesn't seem to be as many codes issued now as there was.
I just hope that other people don't jump on this and abuse this code aswell because we will all lose out in the long run. Remember Tesco offer points as a loyalty system they don't have to give them and can remove the loyalty program at any time.0 -
I can know understand why there is a shortage of Tesco codes around. If people are going to abuse the system by placing an order for £6.77 including postage then you can't blame Tescos for pulling codes early.
Please could people not take advantage like this as you are going to spoil it for everyone.(remember the fuss after Xmas over misuse of codes)0 -
Is someone deliberately trying to start trouble on this forum about boasting about the little amount they have spent to get bonus points? I seem to remember the last time when someone ordered a birthday cake and candles, and the amount of postings that generated. Lets face it Tesco's make these profits because WE WANT to shop there and I imagine that even if they pulled the loyalty scheme or made it less generous the billions they have made won't just fade away. Careful use of the scheme pays dividends not blatant greed. No Matter what you do there will be critics.0

If people place small orders like this, Tesco are bound to be suspicious sooner or later and cancel the code! Its only a matter of time before codes will only be able to be used by the recipient and small orders like this is only going to prompt them to sort it out!
£6.77 including delivery, min delivery is now £4.49 so thats only £2.28 in groceries!
No-one in their right mind would pay more for delivery than their actual goods, under normal circumstances.
Remember the £10 off code with no minimum spend? I remember reading on here that people were placing orders totalling £10.50 including delivery! Not long after that the code was cancelled and MSE removed all codes from this site as they had questions to answer Tesco! That particular code was costing Tesco £10, this 100/1000 pointer is costing them £40 in deals!
Please be sensible if you use this code.
Why spend just £2.28 on groceries when there must be other groceries that you need for the week?! I've used this code a couple of times and spent over £30 each time. I consider it to be a bonus that I dont have to bump my basket up to £50 or £75 with tinned stuff to fill my cupboard!0 -

I used the code and spent over £50, but has anyone considered that maybe daisy thought that you actually did only get 100 points and not a 1000 points.
So it may have been a surprise to her??0
