Hope your hubby is fit and well soon workinmummy!
How organised am I? Got my veggies here ready to peel for tonights scouse! Going to put it on in a min... Takes a good few hours and I have aqua natal at 1ish, don't want to leave the hob switched on... So if I put it on now... Then it should be done enough for Aimee to have some when she finishes school and before her swimming lesson...
Ooh - Krystal, you've made me want scouse now!
Do you use lamb? OH doesn't like lamb so it might have to be a beef one. I'll have to go shopping now for beetroot and crusty bread!:beer:0 -
A quick question for all you ladies who have had babies already, with the 'show' does it always contain a little blood, or can it be 100% mucus? The stuff you read normally says it contains a little blood mixed with it so I'm not sure if that applies to every birth.
I am 34 weeks and yesterday evening had a lot of mucus (tmi alert but if it helps to know to be able to answer me: like really sticky gooey clear/whiteish snot, but no blood), DH convinced it's the show but I'm thinking way too early. I can't contact my midwife today as she's off but rang the antenatal dept at the hospital and spoke to someone to clarify, on DH's insistance as he wanted to know one way or the other if it was whereas I'm happy to just wait and see, and she said yes in theory it could be just 100% mucus, it may have been the show, it may not, the only way to know is to wait and see if labour starts in the next week, then we can look back and say yes that was your show, or no that was just some random mucus (haven't had it before now).
Anyway, can anyone confirm for me that it's too early for a show and that it would have contained a little blood if it was the real thing? DH texting me all morning to see if anything else is happening, he doesn't quite get it that it can happen DAYS in advance.0 -
Sami, it has to be done on the hob... If it's in the oven it's not scouse

3, I use lamb... I made one a few weeks ago and froze half the meat after I cooked it so I could make another one... It's hubby's and Aimee's favourite!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Honeypop - I think they can differ a lot.
I didn't see one with DS, DD1 it was a definate (TMI) snot like, blood streaked plug and with this DD it was sticky, gooey, clear, stringy snot!
(I make it sound so pleasant!):beer:0 -
HI Sami,
fellow rebel here, I've had runny eggs, pate, brie, camembert, medium rare steak and peanuts....but i always make sure i know the source of the meat, and the food i eat is fresh and i'm happy with the research i did on listeria and salmonella so i'm comfortable with the decisions I've made.0 -
Just re-reading my post, it sounds like the kind of one that no-one can answer as it probably all depends on the person really! I've really started to ramble this past week or so, along with generally not making sense, asking stupid questions, being forgetful (left keys in ignition in car for 2 hours in a public car park!) and generally losing my marbles.0

Hiccups are back (cue kicking and throwing tantrums...) and my nursing bra has arrived! YAY! Good job I bought the HH one though! The H would NOT have fitted!
Could even go up a cup size when my milk is in I think but for now I'm gonna wear it just because it's actually VERY comfy hehehehe
oh and heartburn has been so bad last couple of days *sigh* doing my head in!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
Honey - you can have a show at any point in preg, I think it was MrsMoc that was told that the plug sometimes comes out and a new one forms.
If you want to see one search mucus plug on youtube and you will see one - its gross!
If the person you spoke to at hosp said there isn't always blood then I'm sure they know what they talking about

And you're brain won't recover - well mine hasn't yet anyway! I visited my mum the other day, and after being in the house for about 15 minutes, DD looked out of the window, and told me i'd left the drivers door wide open! I had locked the car though. :rotfl:
I think the show can be anytime before too. DD1 was a couple of days before, DD2 was after pains had started. But i'm sure i've seen on here it can be weeks before.:beer:0
