Well seeing as I never quite got around to re-arranging the check up I was supposed to have in Jan... probably yes! :o:p

Oh, just found this again - explains what happens when. Shelvis very usefully posted it a while ago :D

Tonight's question from me.. what other kit do I need for breastfeeding/expressing, assuming I can do it? I only have the TT CTN micro steriliser (and the bottles which came free with it) and breast pump so far. What do I need in the way of teats and for storing expressed milk?

Also, how long between birth / establishing breastfeeding and being able to give expressed milk from a bottle? I think I've read somewhere about leaving it a few weeks so baby doesn't get confused.. I realise I'm just looking for the textbook answer and I'm sure it's different for everyone.. All advice and help (and links to read later!) gratefully appreciated! :D

Right, I'd best be off to bed.. back to work tomorrow :( Night night all xx

You don't neccessarily need to fork out a fortune on things to store milk in... As far as teats go, there'll be some with the bottles... As baby gets bigger you can replace them with faster flowing ones depending on baby...

And yes all babies are different.. Give it a good few weeks of breastfeeding before you introduce a bottle... If it's going to be an occaisional one to try with then 4/5/6 weeks... As long as your supply is good and baby is latching and feeding well then fine... If you're having feeding difficulties, it's best to get baby well established before introducing a bottle so they don't get confused with what they're doing...

Gogo crazy bones, small plastic toys that the kids are going daft over at the moment. No idea how he did it, but hey they all got to explore don't they? I don't think it was shoved right up, but enough so that his foreskin got a little torn, hence the bleeding.

Ouch! That made me cross my legs - and I haven't even got a winky!!

You can tell who are the parents of children of a certain age on here. I knew straight away what a Gogo was - having recently spent time trying to rescue a particularly special one of the ba$£%rd things from the hoover bag!!

Good luck for everyones scans - its so exciting! :D

I had a very healthy breakfast this morning... Melon... I figured I needed to follow it up with something... Chocolate muffin... And got some toast in... Oh and had some hula hoops to keep me going while the toast cooks... But it's only a small packet...

I had a really good night last night, don't think I woke for a wee, and if I did, I didn't wake up much... Don't even think I rolled over all night! Really needed it though, and still feel like I could do with a couple more hours... Woke up with a sore throat again though which is starting to get annoying... Have the new ironing board up... And the iron is plugged in... Just need to position myself in front of it and actually do some...

Oh and my friend just txt to see if I want to go to aqua natal this morning... Need to try on my swimdress... I'm pretty sure the new one won't fit... But the old one might have gone enough in the lycra that I can squeeze the belly in...

If its modern paint you should be fine, have a peek on the label and it should say something like low VOC, make sure you are well ventilated and be careful if you're going up any ladders in case you get dizzy and don't over stretch :)

I've just heard about that on the local news - its only down the road from here. Tragic.

Not meaning to make any of you pregnant ladies jealous - i've just had the most gorgeous breakfast of toast with a thick spreading of pate! I've been dying to have it since the family had it for starters with Christmas dinner and I wasn't allowed! It was yummy! :D
