Why all the rotfls when so many ladies on here have had just this experience in the last few days
You may well be right that this is the reason, but having had just that experience myself many many years ago, I found nothing to even smile about when it happened to me, much less laugh hysterically 5 times over.0 -

just thought for example that if my blood was rhesus neg or i wasnt immune to rubella i would have heard. maybe the next appointment i have at the hospital will shed more light
you can tell me and glam are 1st time mums
anything that requires action you are generally told about straight away tho, so more than likely ur fine.
The blood tests after scan thing is due to cost cutting, if you consider that something like 1 in 4 pregnancies don't result in a baby they save a fair bit over a year by not having a MW spend 1hr with you and running about 10 blood tests. Not nice but the way it is...0 -
Thanks ladies, have passed on your best wishes to DD, she is here tonight. X:A
Hypno, that mum of triplets is a disgrace, even when I was broke I used to mash up veggies for DD's dinner as it was the cheapest way to feed her.
Greent, I don't know what to say, thinking of you, find it hard to believe that anyone would do that to you, please take care of yourself.
Sparkle, your little girl is beautiful! :T
Iheart, so very sorry. XXX
Fitzio, thank-you very, very much. You were so lovely to do that for us, OH was really chuffed you took the trouble.:D:D Glad your sis, or was it sis-in-law, is ok! X
Tickle, shame bubs wouldn't turn but glad your ok.
Mrs M, great that your bubs is hanging on in there. XToo many children, too little time!!!0 -
christenings-
well i was christened when i was 4 along with my brother who was 6 months old. i picked my own godfather and as i could read a bit, said my own words. my dad was happy for us to learn all bout different faiths and make up our own minds later. quite cool really.- my aunt married a jewish man, my dads best friends became members of the Ba'Hai faith so when i was small there were lots of different ideas around. OH was the only one in his family to be christened,
i defo want our baby to be christened. i loved going to church and attended regularly till imoved over here. however as i want baby tobe christened this will need to change. my excuse of 'working sundays' doesnt count anymore as i work mon-fri. just need to bite the bullet and go!!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

Thanks, not ill, but found out recently that she might not be able to have children. Made me feel terrible as I was already 3mths pregnant with No.6. Anyhow, positive vibes to hope this gets sorted.:D

I keep a postit note stuck to the front of my notes so whenever I think of a Qu a write it on and my MW ticks them off when I see her - see why I love her!
I was thinking of going to a more local church as there is about 5 within (non-pregnancy) walking distance but I'm scared:o I know its awful but I haven't been to 'my' church since our vicar left just before Chris was born:o
I've been to OH's church but usually for special occasions like the Church's birthday or sad occasion like Granny's funeral last year0
