    Morning all

Just had the worst nights sleep ever. I need stronger ear plugs:rotfl:

5 women brought in last night, 3 crying and 1 screaming, very noisy.

I really think this place has put me off pregnancy for life.

On the subject of nookie, it been over 2 months for us and will probably be a long while off yet :o. I could satisfy myself with some nice dreams if I could manage to get more than 1/2 an hours sleep at a time. I probably shouldn't even be thinking about things like that.

My consultant has just been and has told me to be prepared for more bleeding after the 28 week mark. Im 27 weeks today

On a good note, I bought a moses basket and rocking stand complete with bedding ( all brand new ) for £15 on ebay last night :T

Hope everyone is well and labour vibes to those who need them.

Your OH got swine flu Searching? lol

I feel like a zombie today... Don't know how much sleep I got last night but it wasn't much... Have now reached the point where I can only hold about 3mls of wee before I feel desperate so I was up and down... Couldn't get back off to sleep after the second time so just lay and listened to hubby snoring...

I also felt something stick right out of my bump this morning, must of been a foot or a knee or something... As soon as I touched it, it shot back in again... Was quite amusing!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

hey does anyone remember/know roughly how often ASDA does their baby event? because it's far too early for me to be buying stuff now, but if it's not for another year, then I'll be a bit annoyed!!

So tired. I heard some horrible reports of the way an uncle of mine spoke to my grandmother before she died, which really upset me. I can't imagine anyone being so selfish as to guilt trip a woman in her 90s who already felt terribly guilty about not being able to do what he was talking to her about. So I was up half the night feeling dreadful and wishing I'd known so I could have protected her from it.

We went to the information evening at the clinic as well - Germans are weird. They're so pro-nudity and pro-body, but they put a curtain between the head end and the business end and the father's not allowed past the curtain. Which also implies a bit of an over reliance on the "on your back on the bed" method. They also give the child to the father first, and I object to that too.

Aside from that, the place was full of people asking stupid questions. Someone asked about the rates of C-section, and the doctor explained that it was about 30% but that this is artificially high since they're the hospital of choice for elective C-section as well as for emergency C-section, so they account for a lot of the ones being done. The woman then started asking about other hospitals' rates of section, as though the numbers can tell you magical things. If a large number of patients who need C-sections are referred to this place because it has anaesthetists and consultants on call 24 hours, their C-section rate will be higher than a place that only has midwives in attendance and needs to turf emergencies elsewhere. It's not rocket science.... And we were all stuck in a stifling hot room while this ridiculous exchange was going on. And then another woman prefaced a legitimate question with a five-minute soliloquy about her last birth experience and how she wants this one to be better.

Appointment with my official labour doctor today. What should I ask him?

Aless, I'm sure it was only a few weeks ago the last one was on.

Fingers crossed for you Mrs M. X

Fitzio, that would be fantastic if you're sure it's not to much trouble.

I'm off in 5 mins or so, DD1 is having her Op today to try and unblock her fallopian tubes so this is the last thing to see if she can have children naturally, please everyone cross everything you've got for her. Bringing her back here later for a couple of days to recoup so will let you know what happens.
Too many children, too little time!!!

Sugar, I would be asking for exactly how you want to give birth, surely not everyone has to do it that way. I will NOT give birth on my back!!! And after all MY hard work I get 1st dibs on a cuddle, then of course he can have her. :D
