Afternoon ladies.
You are all bad influences talking about ice cream today. It's all your fault that I have just eaten two of the three strawberry Mivvi's I had in the freezer. Now I've only got one left for after my roast pork
I'm 18+5 and have put on 32lbs. Does this mean I'm going to have to cut back on the Mivvi's?:rotfl:Though, in my defense I did start at 7st 5lbs and am 5"6 so am actually grateful for the extra pounds. :j Just wasn't expecting quite this many so early.

Afternoon all
HUGE welcome to all the newbies.
I'm so pi**ed off it's untrue  It started last night when I was talking to my mum and told her we had choosen a cot and when she saw it she said, "oh no it looks like it's come straight from a prison! Could you not find anything nicer!" I wouldn't mind but DH and I really like it. So I told her to keep her thoughts to herself, put down the phone and burst into tears as she makes me feel like nothing I do is right
Then to make matters worse, she's just been round with my dad and sister and whilst she's sweetness and light to begin with god does she know how to push my buttons. She said that there was no need to look into any labour techniques as by the time I have my first contraction they'll be whipping me off for a CS just to shut me up!!! When my DH said well you never know she maybe fine she just said that she knew me better than he did and there was no way I was going to deliver this baby naturally and got really narky with DH - He was so angry that he had to walk out of the room. She makes me SOOO SOOO ANGRY
Then she kept on saying how she's made some cider lollies and one will have me pi**ed as I said but I'm not drinking, she said "but this isn't drinking"!
Then whilst we were showing her some of the things we've bought like the pushchair etc all she could do was interupt me and kept on saying look at this knitting pattern I'm going to do! Whilst I'm greatful she's knitting things I wouldn't mind if she just showed a bit of interest in what I'm doing and what I'm getting.
Sorry - Rant overYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -

Iheartfreebies wrote: »Hi Ladies,
I'm been popping in and out of here for a while since I got my BFP on Easter Monday but didn't want to move over proper till I'd had my scan but I need some advice. I've been bleeding since Tuesday and while I've got no pain it's very worrying. I'm going for a scan at the EPAC on Tuesday but as you can imagine it feels a long time away.
If any of you have experienced the same thing your advice would be much appreciated
Thanks x
Hi Iheartfreebies, just wanted to let you know that I had bleeding that lead to a mc. It started light then over two weeks just got heavier and miscarried normally. The good news is that I got pregnant again straight away (had pervioulsy been trying for 5 months). I've had bleeding again in this pregnancy but only very light and never for more than two days but you just never know. It's really annoying, worrying, stressful etc but all you can do is wait and see what the scan says. Fingers crossed for you.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Oh oh oh, I'm so excited!! :j:j
Short version: I might just be getting the pram I want for almost half price (£200 rather than £375)
Long version: My godmother (who set my parents up on a blind date and that's how they get together!) has a granddaughter. Godmother (has OCD tendencies) isn't a fan of son's girlfriend and the mess their house is always in, so insisted on buying her own pram, cot, even baby clothes for when she's looking after her grandaughter. Granddaughter now a few years old and she's selling some of the kit, all still in pristine condition.. including the pram which just so happens to be the very one we wanted!!
We're going to check it'll fit in my car one night this week and will go to Mothercare on Tuesday to try the carseat (Godmother used to walk everywhere so didn't get the carseat to go with the pram, although I would buy a new one anyway). If it all fits, it's ours!
We're also having her Chicco walker (forward planning!) which was £50 but ours for £20. My Mum and Godmother are so excited cos it'll be used for both of their first grandchildren! :rotfl:
Aside from that, I bought maternity pads (Boots own - recommended by MFD and others) and breast pads (Tommee Tippee - recommended by my RL friend) from Boots earlier too so am making more of a start on the hospital bag and small things0
