Hello everyone

Welcome to the newbies. Hope everyone is feeling OK.

Went to hospital this morning. I scared myself silly. I have been having dizzy spells all week but last night it was just awful - not known anything like it. Room was still but brain was spinning. This lasted most of the night - no real sleep. Couldn't lie down (got worse), couldn't sit or stand / walk. Try sugary tea, sweets etc.
Anyway 7 30 am woke hubby and called a cab. At 9 saw a lovely consultant who gave me a full exam - from my ears to downstairs! Took a urine sample. Came back and said no infections anyway and yes i am pregnant and just reacting strongly to the hormones. Felt very silly and he said no i wasn't as it is my first and therefore it is normal to be anxious. Plus because of previous gyny problems (which i didn't think mattered!) it was better to be safe than sorry. Hubby just hopes the rest is going to be plain sailing!

On a lighter note i told my dad about the baby this morning and he brought round a huge bunch flowers (he lives a 2 hr drive away!) and said he was sooo pleased that he is going to have a grand child (fingers crossed!)

I just want the 1st scan now!

God, i'm SO far behind, oh well, here' my feeble attempt at catching up!

jokes- I know one quite good pregnancy related joke, wanna hear it? It's a bit rude though!!

Disposable nappies- We've bought a load of little lambs nappies, they are adorable and the reviews are good and i've spoken to people and they like them.

Fitzio -OOO....this Brio Sing sounds good, i'm tempted, i thought we were decided on the Quinny buzz but it does look interesting!

Mrs MOc- Glad you're getting to go home for a bit, it must be SOOO frustrating!

Good to hear from you EA, i know it's not much consolation but at least you can have a little drinky on holiday, I'm sure you'll be back soon and we're all looking forward to having you back when the time is right...

girls have been away to party this morning and neighbours asked if she could take them horseriding! so thats it looks like my spare money is going to be apent on lessons now, £8 per 1/2 hour. they have come back and are driving me mad telling me the same things over and over again! roll on bedtime:D

Afternoon ladies.

You are all bad influences talking about ice cream today. It's all your fault that I have just eaten two of the three strawberry Mivvi's I had in the freezer. Now I've only got one left for after my roast pork :rolleyes:

I'm 18+5 and have put on 32lbs. Does this mean I'm going to have to cut back on the Mivvi's?:rotfl:Though, in my defense I did start at 7st 5lbs and am 5"6 so am actually grateful for the extra pounds. :j Just wasn't expecting quite this many so early.
