Congratulations Natalie. It must feel great to have your little man home at last.
We bought a new car ready for arrival of bubs today - a people carrier. We were in the car showroom for 2 hours after the test drive while we sorted out all the paperwork and stuff, and I needed to pee 4 times! That was pretty embarrassing. Mind you when I looked round all of the other women in the showroom at the time were also pregnant so obviously new baby/new car is the done thing! We pick it up on Wednesday.
Was talking to our babysitter last night, and she mentioned that she still has all the baby stuff we gave her for her little boy who is now 4, thinking we were finished, and that we are welcome to have it all back. So that means that we get our moses basket, stand, bedding, etc back plus other bits and pieces like steriliser. Hopefully that means all we really have left to buy will be the pram, and I've promised myself an electric breast pump this time, and obviously new bottles and teats.
Horrified to wake up this morning though and discover that I have outgrown 2 pairs of maternity trousers in my normal size already. I'm only 17+1 . Goodness only knows what size I am going to be when I finally have this baby! I have a feeling I'll be wearing a king size duvet cover by then as nothing else will go near me :rotfl:0 -
have tried on some of my looser fitting summer clothes from last summer and none fit me! guess i'm bigger than i thought i was..'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

Sorry Natalie, I thought I'd replied to you! Congratulations on getting him home at last. I remember you posting a few weeks after his birth and it was very much just 'one day at a time'. Hope everything continues to go well for him and he is discharged from consultant care at a year old!!!0

There is a new Money maker with a capital M on the family board !!!
I discovered a Skint_chick on here the other day! WHy can;t people just be original. once, when you Googled Skintchick only I came up, but someone on Motley Fool nicked it and now this other one on here. Grrr.
We went to look at prams today and have decided we both really dislike the Pliko Pramette but love the Silver Cross Sleepover, so we're going to get one of those nearer the time. It felt so much more sturdy than the Pliko, which was a bit like a plastic toy, plus the Silver Cross enables you to have a parent-facing pushchair which is really important to me.
So now I just need to find it as cheap as possible!:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

What a day! I think my bean loves football, went to watch Everton v Man City and OMG, I felt movement the whole time I was there. Wonder if it was the atmosphere. Was like loads of fluttering and gurgling - oh it was so amazing.
Now watching Man Utd and I have players in my dream team who are scoring :j
Cooking pasta and chicken for tea - yum.
I need some opinions about the cotbed on offer in Argos.

I don't particularly want to do the safari theme and don't need the changing unit BUT the cotbed looks great and seems a good deal.
Would u ...........
A. Buy the lot and then eBay all the things u don't want?
B. Not bother as u only want the cot and just wait to get a similar cot on it's own?
Ta in advanceA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Glam, I would not bother and just get the cotbed from elsewhere... But that's because I hate eBay...
Jillie, my one busy day is to make up for the last 2 days where I've done nothing... Sadly, I slept ok the last 2 nights after not doing anything... Probably won't sleep tonight and have to sit on the worlds most uncomfortable chairs tomorrow at church....A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
