  • Been to Asda - no Baby event as yet :(, but did buy a few bits anyway. They had big teddy bears for £2 each and they seemed to have quite a lot of offers on nappies etc. We also discovered they stock Maternity clothes in our ASda, wohoo! So i bought a couple of summer tops and also bought a normal Vest top in a bigger size.

sami - thanks for the info re. skin tags, I have been wondering about these for the last few months. I have loads of them - under armpits, under b00bs etc!

    Hi Jillie

After my moaning about not feeling anything, I'm sure that over the lst 2 days I've felt bean! Mostly moving about and thought I got kicked yday but wasn't sure.
Glad u r feeling a bit better, I finish my antibiotics tomorrow for sinusitis thank god, I hate taking them.

Jenny - re talking to HR. My company don't do things by the book, they tailor policies and things to suit the situation at the time. There is never anything definite in them - I printed off the H&S policy which states they will do a risk assessment but as usual it's not even been mentioned. They'll want me to do my own!!

Off to match now but will pop back on later

Glam, I asked about a risk assessment and was told "you don't really need one do you?" Was made to feel like a pest. Thing is, I work as a nurse in a v busy medical ward with patients who can be violent and unpredictable (alcoholics, dementia patients, learning difficulties etc etc).
Let me know how you get on

Hello to all! Lots has happened since I last posted weeks ago. We've had 3 scans since then. At our first dating scan we could just see baby's tiny head and body, and after a little prod little arms and legs moving wildly. More or less that baby was in there and just the one - phew! So they said we could go back for another scan in a few weeks. Found out our due date 16 October. So then went for an NHS and a private nuchal scan in wk 14. Baby has changed an amazing amount - we could see and hear a teeny heart, eyes, nose, fingers and toes - ahh! Nerve wracking but amazing and very emotional for both me and OH.

My heart goes out to all those who have had bad experiences. I feel that though things are going well, this is still early days. This is our first, so I don't know what's going on and am not at ease with this whole pregnant thing. Am under family pressure to tell the whole world - I just don't feel ready yet. We'll see.

:money:On an MSE note, after reading recent conversations about real v disposable nappies I checked out some of the websites recommended and found out it's Real Nappy Week next week. If you fancy going down that route they have a website that gives information on events going on across the country promoting real nappies & talk of money off vouchers (£15 in my area). Hope this might save someone out there a few bob. (This may already have had a mention but didn't see it!)

Congrats to all those who've had their lovely bundles of joy:j

    Those weeks are ticking by!

quick question...do any of you ever wake up with your legs feeling sore, like you spent yesterday in the gym doing squats/lunges? I feel like that today, but I didn't do any sort of exercise yesterday...I'm thinking maybe it's a water retention thing or increased blood flow from being pregnant...weird.
