STOPTOBER CHALLANGE ... here we go !!0 -
Evening, on the subject of nappies, I'm considering a mixture of both, have looked at the Pop-in by Close Parent as they go right from birth to 3yrs. Nice stretchy sides to just like a disposable. Our local baby shop has the set for £99, any opinions?
Had my support fitted today, it's much better than the one I got last time. Really helped walking up the hill to school.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

With my eldest (22) I used diposables for the first few weesk as he was small, then used terry nappies until he was about 18 months - disposables were quite expensive & not as good as they are now. You used flushable nappy liners that went into the loo, along with any solids (sorry!), then soaked them in cold water with something added to it; used to fill bucket through day then wash them all at night or first thing in the morning. Sounds quite a job but wasn't really, & old lady across the road said she liked to see a line of bright, white nappies blowing!?
I understand the green argument, but does it stack up price-wise over the couple of years or so that a child's in nappies? If it does, then it might be worth it, could spend HiPG money on something useful, assuming it comes in time! :rolleyes:July 2024 GC £0.00/£400

I've been trying to do overtime to save around £300 each month but I think it's wishful thinking! Forgot about HiPG - not included that!!!
Just remembered 4 weeks leave on top PLUS accrued bank hols PLUS holiday entitlement for next year!!
Woohoo at this rate I could be off for a year :jA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
