I've had a nice afternoon. I went to this new women's only gym which was recommended to me at the Open Day of our local Childrens Centre. Had an induction from a lovely lady, all tailored to fit round the pregnancy, and on chatting to her afterwards, it turns out that she literally lives a few doors down from me, and that she is a qualified masseuse. She gave me her phone number and said that any time I felt like having a pregnancy massage, to give her a call, and she's be happy to do it in my home as I live so close. I had a lot of pelvic pain with no 1, and am prone to back pain generally, so although my back has been fine so far, I suspect I may well be taking her up on this. No idea how much she will charge but the convenience of having it at home would be great.

For alleso who was asking, the advice I was being given today (at nearly 17 weeks) was not to do any exercises or stretches which involved putting hands above my head height or lying on my back as these can affect your blood pressure. I also need to be particularly careful of any exercises or equipment which might put a strain on my pelvic area or my abs. So no lunges, abductor or adductor machines, etc. For core stability, she gave me some work on the swiss ball with very light weights, but this is more to strengthen the back than to tone the abs in any way. Her advice was that the best strategy in pregnancy was to use weights at a lower weight than you are used to but with increased reps, and only very light cardio, and to be careful not to overheat or to let your heart rate go too high. Hth.

Just got back from school and caught the scutter children from the gutter across the road trying to pick one of my cats up... It wouldn't be so bad but they'd chosed the highly strung compulsive one... Wonder if they've done it before... Could explain why she licks herself bald... I would want to scrape my skin off if one of them touched me... Slightly judgemental of me... But I don't care... The whole family is vile... 8 kids... the 2 oldest boys are in and out of prison... The oldest girl is always being caught shoplifting... The next oldest one has all sorts of antisocial behaviour contracts and is still a scrote (Had the police out to her myself on more than one occasion) 3rd oldest beat someone up round the corner and stamped on their neck... The others are younger... But getting as horrid as the older ones...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    .

Ooh - yum! Grab her hand!!

I massaged again today (which is why I disappeared this afternoon) Two more massaging days left before I stop - yippee!! I would have booked something at center parcs last week, but most of their aqua sana treatments aren't suitable in pg and their actual pregnancy pamper thing is a waste of space (had it before) - well, it's 'nice' and relaxing I suppose - but it's airy fairy stuff. They don't do any massage :(

HELP. Someone tell me this isn't true. My preggie sickness just hasn't gone at 13 weeks and my midwife has said if it was going to go it would have worn off by now, so I can only hope that it'll disappear by week 16. If not then I'm in for the duration. Oh god, this is awful. Does anyone have any glimmers of hope from their situations that might counter this?

LCK, thats the biggest pile of pants information ever! It can wear off at any time... Think mine was about 18 weeks before it was completely gone... And still get occasional bad days now... 36w!

Searching- you need a m3 real card for the DS..same thing that Tine was on about but I can recommend a place online where they are £17 and a few quid postage. Ive used the site 3 times and know of a friend that has used them a few times also, never any problems with anything. If you want the details pm me ;) I hope this isn't breaking any rules,it's not as if Im advertising openly or putting links in.
love my little man he is amazing :j
