  • Sami - on your tax credits they don't include Maternity allowance as an income but they do count some of SMP. What a result!

I rang TC and they disregard the first £100 of Maternity Allowance.

I'm getting £103.76 a week MA, which means they have me down now as earning £3.76 a week, WOW! :rotfl:

I'm sure SMP is the same, but don't take that as Gospel!

    Hi all,

Just got back from a few days away and had to skip a few pages as I'd never catch up! So congrats and hugs to all that need them. We went away in our little caravan and had a lovely time with the family but unfortunately on the way home we left a window open and it broke off, so more for me to stress over and organise!

Had midwife come round today and I'm all booked in for a homebirth, have bags full of goodies but been warned not to play with them in case a canister starts to leak! Need to get together some plastic sheeting, old towels etc oh and the radiators back on the wall so the room is warm enough for baby! I'm only 38 weeks so no rush then!!!

Got a list of stuff to do as long as my arm but don't actually seem to be getting anywhere with it! and where has time gone today!
:( we don't get any goodies here, I just got 2 plastic wallets; one with my labour notes and one with postnatal notes and some leaflets and a shopping list.
We even have to buy those super absorbent mats!! It says the MWs will bring some but they only have a limited amount so advise the mum2B to buy at least 10 of her own:rolleyes: the only thing I will get before hand is the Meptid injection as I have to get the 'script myself - which I probably won't use!:p

I think they count all of SMP as its paid by ur employer like a wage but MA is classed as a benefit  I'm prob talking out of my bum tho!:D

No seriously, they do disregard some of SMP too, I'm not sure how much but I think it's £100 a week too.

I'll go and look for some info >>>>>
