I agree drawers are really helpfull but I also love to see my little girls pretty dresses all hanging in a line in her wardrobe... I wouldn't bother forking out a fortune on specialist nursery furniture, any drawers or wardrobe will do...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Well things have gone quiet and both women have gone to the delivery suites, the one struggling has decided to have an epidural.

I dont feel brave at all im scared of needles, blood and pain lol. I also miss my kids so much and its only been a few days. Im trying not to think about spending 2/3 months here.

I haven't given up on my dinner tomorrow even though im still bleeding its gone light now. Im hoping the doctor in the morning doesn't bother to read my file from today and lets me go :o

Well done on ths shopping searching :T I think its so exciting getting things done to the house and seeing it all coming together.

The lights have gone off here, and im starting to feel a little whacked. Its hard to stay sleep after 6.45 am here because you can here people starting to move about and trolleys getting wheeled by so plenty of early mornings in store.

    Night Everyone xx

It is very tempting to go for nice matching nursery furniture, but I am trying to be sensible too and there is no way I want to spend a fortune on it. I would like a decent cot bed, but just trying to decide what else we could fit in. If a good chest of drawers would be more useful than a wardrobe then we could just go for that. Or maybe a single door wardrobe and a tall thin chest of drawers? Hmmm....decisions decisions...

The wardrobes we're getting from Ikea for our room will have a chest of drawers inside then... An ideal solution... But not really nursery furniture... And more expensive than the basic stuff...

I'm not much help am I... Sorry....

sls i remember that feeling too well, at least the end is in sight for you and you know when you will be getting induced, just sucks on a bank holiday!

i've just dressed seth and seen a big patch of red raw skin in his armpit, the poor little man! it had little bits of soft scabs in the creases too, i got really upset for a minute its funny how being a mum makes you feel. i think it looks a bit like a fungal infection and it smells a bit nasty, god knows where he could have picked it up from though. i've cleaned it with water and cotton wool.

now i'm obviously not asking for medical advice ;) but what do i do about getting it looked at? he isnt registered with a doctor yet, do i make an appointment for me and get him looked at instead? or do i need to register him first? or can i take him to see the midwives at the hospital he was born at still? he's 4 weeks old on sunday.

why do these things always happen on bank hoilidays when everything is closed?

    I'm only just catching up!

This sounds like thrush to me (but obviously this is not medical advice! ;)). A LO at my baby group had exactly what you described and was given cream from the Dr.

At my surgery it was just a matter of handing over the form I received when registering Jamie's birth and then filling out their own short form to register him with a doctor. I'm such a worrier that I did this when he was about 3 days old! :D.

I hope Seth is ok (and you of course! :D).

    xx

No, that's quite useful! Never thought about drawers inside the wardrobe. That would save space, and I am conscious of getting a wardrobe withl lots of dead space as kids clothes are so small! Food for thought. Thanks!
