Oh no.. I think I've got piles There, I've said it! Can't bring myself to say the word to OH He just knows it's "uncomfortable"..

Not looking for medical advice - just sympathy! Off to the pharmacist for me tomorrow then, I assume..

My husband's 14 years older than I am. Sometimes the older ones are a better long term investment

I have tons of sympathy for you, have had them on and off for the last 7 years since I was preggers with Jasmine and have had them non stop in this pregnancy :eek:

Well hubby knocked me up the very first time we took a risk... Which is amazing considering him and his ex were never particularly careful and I didn't use any contraception for 6 years before getting caught with Aimee...

And as far as MIL's go... I've not spoken to mine since she tried to ruin our wedding... She insisted on us booking a wedding breakfast and said she would pay... 2 months before the wedding she asked the hotel for her money back... We were very close to losing the whole booking and didn't get a lovely honeymoon in Greece because we had to find the extra £1.5k... Then after the wedding she had an hour long rant at hubby about how badly she'd been treated... And told him that he must of been saying bad things about her to me and that's why I don't like her... The fact she was a lousy mother who had all her children taken off her and put into care and only knows how to manipulate people with money is irrellevant...

There is only 3 1/2 years between me and OH, but my last boyfriend before him was 18 years older than me (and my boss !!)

My parents didnt like him

Glam - About 80% sure this is my last pregnancy (OH will tell u its 100% my last ) not my last child tho Hopefully we'll become foster parents so maybe we'll get a girl that sees us as parents and I can be un-official MOTB :T

How awful must i be in OH's mums eyes, i'm 8 1/2 years older also with 2 kids in tow. OH was only 23 when we got together. We 'had it out' a while back when she accidently sent me a text saying how she hates me and i'm not right for OH. She meant to send it to her friend - ha ha!

I was really upset - but was very 'growed up' and sent her a huge email saying how it'd upset me, that I understood why she felt the way she did and if my son came home at 23 with a 31 year old single mother girlfriend - i'd probably kill him! That i'd tried to put him off in the beginning, but he'd made his choice, and that I loved him and would never hurt him.
I'm not sure it was the age/single mother status that bothered her - noone would be good enough for her precious first born!

That seemed to do the trick - or she's been very good at being false-nice since then!

Anyway - baby seems to have helped, its her first grandchild - so she pretty much has to accept me now, like it or not.
Anyway, she's still got OH's two brothers at home so she can concentrate on pampering them now.

Maybe once baby is here he'll be a bit more interested?!?

I wouldn't count on it ~ but we'll soon see


I would have flipped if I'd received a text like you did, you did the right thing by not flying off the handle though! xx
