    :eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    I have to say I'm already gagging for a bit of OH's haggis :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    I know your supposed to leave it 6 weeks but if I hold out for another week i'll be surprised :D
    AM as long as there aren't any tears/ stitches down there and you aren't too energetic there's no reason not to AFAIK, When I went for my 6wk check my GP asked if we'd done 'it' and I was like "err no" and she said "as long as ur not sore you could have" even so I passed on that :p

    Thanks for that link to the NICE information, Sami - first time I've seen the official guidelines on what should happen & when.

    I wonder if my GP appt (to confirm pregnancy) counted as the first appointment then? All he did was mention Folic Acid and ask if I drank/smoked, but he didn't give me any leaflets or advice on what I should and shouldn't be doing, eating etc.

    And it also confirms why the midwives round here don't see it as unusual that the booking appt is scheduled so late, I won't be seen till 15 weeks but, according to those guidelines, it can happen at upto 16 wks.

    Oh well, at least I'm getting my first scan on time.

    [Sorry, didn't mean for that to seem a rant ;) Just I'm not a spring chicken ....]

    Tigster - you'll get a squillion leaflets at booking in most of which will end up in the recycle bag :rolleyes:
