I dont know what to make of most of your post ......You want to go on the cross trainer to "lose some flab" why you are pregnant? And because you are pregnant you are more conscious of your weight and eating that 2nd packet of crisp?

Please correct me if im wrong-but that sounds so wrong to me.

I'm sorry, i know it sounded v.wrong!! It's not that i'm trying to lose weight, just more like not put too much on as i did with DS!!

I had planned to lose weight before discovering i was pg so i bought a cross trainer from my sister, and i've just started using it to try and get fit - i was a size 8 when i fell pg with DS 6 years ago and had a perfect pregnancy, now i'm a 14 and hoping my extra weight (on my small frame) won't make me ache and hurt more!!

I loved being pregnant with DS and i didn't care about the weight i put on, i just loved feeling pregnant, and the same will go for this one but i don't want to feel too frumpy to embrace my bump the way i should!(when it comes:D)

So no, it's not because i'm pg but i want to feel healthier in general, the flab part was more meant by putting on more flab, i just said it wrong.

BeenieCat, is this any use to you? http://smokefree.nhs.uk/smoking-and-pregnancy/ Free DVD to order, phonelines and factsheets :) (I've never smoked so I wouldn't know - it's just something we have leaflets about at work).

Thank you, i will see my doc tomorrow, i've told OH to take the cigs away from today :o:o

ok i will give them a ring ... i am so worried that something will go wrong. very silly but there you go. I feel like crying all the time (no reason), i am feeling sick (have been for the past few days) and have an almighty headache. Hubby is just very excited.
Thanks for advice - no wonder i was confused.

Sounds like you're pregnant to me ;) Welcome aboard, I hope this all goes well for you!

    Thanks for the info! :)

My concern at the moment is my complete lack of ability to completely stop smoking.
I know i'll be hated/flamed/cursed for admitting it but i've been smoking the occassional cigarette still, to curb the cravings. I think once i've spoken to GP and confirmed the pregnancy it'll hit home more though and kick me into actually quitting altogether.
When i was pregnant with DS (6) i was still smoking 3 - 4 a day which i'm obviously not proud of but i was homeless and my partner had walked out on me so i felt it helped my stress at the time :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I've done 20 mins on the cross trainer today in my bid to get fit/lose some flab, although i'm not really dieting but am more conscious of eating that 2nd packet of crisps :o:p
Don't worry too much I know its not good but at least you recognise you want to stop, you'll be given lots of help and support to stop there is lots of help available for preggers to give up :)

don't be too harsh on ur self over eating, chatting in here certainly won't help coz we eat like piggies :p you are pregnant and you can worry about losing weight/being fit later :D

I think you have just signed yourself up for 9 months of worrying :D but usually the worrying eases after the first scan and again when all you can feel is bubs hmmering you from the inside :) I can really help with the sickness issues, but when I was feeling queezy at the beginning I found eating helped :/
Trust me the worrying doesn't ever stop!! My mum says she still worries about us and my (older) sis is 27yo!! :p

Guess what... I got my HIPG on friday :j only just got round to checking the bank to see if MIL's transfer had gone in the joint and thought why does my (usually empty) account have nearly £200 in it :p Shame we'll be spending it on getting the car serviced :(
