Anyone watching Casualty? I think my tummy (I don't even have a bump yet) is bigger than the woman about to go into labour. How silly!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

Hey all..
My boy's a cutie!
(as if I would say any different!
) He's also very cosy where he is and refusing to move even after three scans and three plates of choc chip cookies! He's head down, with his back facing my right side and his head resting on the back of me, so we could only see the left side of his face. He did briefly turn at one point so at least we definitely know he has two eyes, but his right ear is still a mystery!
The scan people were lovely. The lady before me had a lazy one too so she was on a break between scans when we got there, then eventually went in for her second scan. Bob was bouncing around whilst we were waiting but then got bored and snuggled down for a nap so by the time we went in an hour after our appointment time (no worries to us - the receptionist had brought tea and a plate of cookies and pink wafers which OH tucked into!) he was well cosy and not wanting to turn. Scan man got 5 pics, confirmed Bob is indeed a Bob and not a Bobetta (lilac carpet is definitely going then!
) then told me to go for a glass of lemonade and more cookies to see if he would shift round a bit.
Second scan came and he'd still not moved much but we got another 23 pics of various bits of him. The cord is infront of his face cos he's holding it there and biting on it! During the first scan he also had his foot almost in his mouth - he's currently got five toes, but if he comes out with four or less it's cos he got a bit peckish!
Got sent out for more tea and cookies, then went back in for a few more pics. All of this was recorded on DVD too. I kept thinking the scan guy was going to say "right, that's it, you've had your moneys worth, now go!" at anytime, but what he said was "right, let's stop for today and come back in 7-10 days for another try"
No extra payment required, just they're going to keep going until we get a proper pic of all of him!
They didn't want me to pay until next time, no pressures at all. They've kept the DVD and CD with all the pics so that they can just add to it next time. We've walked out with six pics so far, confirmation that he's all alright and definitely a boy - can't believe we've got what we wanted and not paid a penny yet! Obviously we've going to go back but it just seems amazing that they don't want any money off me yet! We're going back on Tues 28th for the rest of it, and we're going to take the whole day off work so we can go baby shopping too!
OH is scanning the pics in so I'll post one later on.
In other news, bought our bathroom suite earlier and arranged free delivery for Monday morning - how fab! Then went to the carpet place which did the quote for us the other day to pick up the written quote as agreed - only it hadn't been written up and then I only got a half-hearted effort (no details at all of the room sizes, carpet/vinyl names or the prices) and was even more surprised to learn it was the store manager who apparently did the quote. His attitude was enough to put me off so we won't be going there. Went to another place that we'd used before and the lady there couldn't have been nicer!
Found out we can get roll ends for three of the rooms (one carpet and two vinyl) and they'll throw the underlay in with the carpet too (which itself is wool carpet, was £485 now £155, bargain!). Lady is coming round to measure the two big rooms on Monday morning and we know she'll do us a good deal on the off-the-roll ones we need.. awesome!
Few things from my scan reading earlier..
EA, have you tried travel bands? They're good for morning sickness too if you get it.
Glam, everything's free at the dentist while your mat exemption card is valid. My dentist wants me to see the hygenist every three months whilst I'm pregnant and I haven't even got my card yet (really must get round to sending the forms off!)
skinty, is your EDD 20th or 24th July? It says 24th on the list. Mine's 19th and I'm 27wks tomorrow (you said you were 27wks on Monday which makes your EDD the 20th July
)
tinkerbell, PM me anytime
Hope everyone else is well xx
searching, I've been meaning to ask.. did Zoe enjoy her time at her aunts, and did she like all the work you'd done to the house? (or do 6 years olds not notice these things?!)0
