Hey Sugar
Mine is apparently glucose intolerance, but no diet alterations needed at present - they will continue to monitor my samples every time I go in though and if the level goes up above ++ in my urine then they might either order another GTT or decide from there. With just over 4 weeks to go and the time it takes them to book the GTT and then get the results then the baby will be here lol!
I have been pretty good about how much sugar I consume though so hopefully it's not too much of an issue
They aren't planning any more scans unless the baby isn't definitely turned by my next MW appointment... Last week and week before it wasn't clear if she'd turned and I don't think it feels like she's dropped... Certainly no more space for my lungs etc to indicate she's dropped down...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
Sugarspunsister, I get everybody mixed up, particularly Krystal and Skintchick :rotfl:

I'm assuming they'll give us a choice?0 -

Not everywhere does, some places won;t tell.
It's a very personal thing but I preferred not to know as we wanted a surprise.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Some PCT's have a policy not to let you know. Does it say in your notes?
Its a really personal choice whether to find out. DH and I NEEDED to know!. I couldn't imagine not knowing but lots of people prefer the surprise on birth day. I'm far too impatient
. Both times we have kept it secret from my side of the family though as they wanted the surprise but my inlaws and friends knew so it was quite tricky.
I always assumed I would have girlsso it gave me time to get used to my blue bump and stop hoarding all of Poppy's pink clothes!

What notes?
Is that something we will be given by the mid-wife? We haven't seen the mid-wife yet, first appointment next week.
I like the idea of a surprise, but from a practical viewpoint, it means we would have to only choose one name (which is hard enough) rather than two different names.0 -
Hello Sugar!:hello: Can't believe you've lurked for so long - pull up a seat and get comfy
poptarts! _pale_
Off the Trafford Centre tonight, so hubby can buy by birthday pressie. I want a new handbag. I think I might have to try and get another bra fitting - oops and I need more tops. To be far - I am still wearing most of my looser, pre-preg size 8 tops, but they are beginning to ride up and my choice is becoming very limited. I think I'm gonna look for non-maternity, but longer tops.0 -

With our first I was sure it was a boy (and that he had ginger hair like his dad), so we never asked. I was admitted at 33 weeks with pre-eclampsia and decided to ask at his growth scan about a week before he was born. We kept it to ourselves. And yes, he was a boy with ginger hair
Second I was so sick and asked to try and get some sort of bond with the little parasite that was making me ill.
This time we asked to make some plans and get ready (had an idea it was a girl and it is so far (she may still decide to be a boy however))
So, it's up to you and your partner to decide if you want to know. There is still the chance that on the day he/she may be shy and hide or that they get it wrong.
Course, you could always get a private scan just to be sure0
