Just a word of warning with ionisers, we had one (obviously placed it wrongly!) but it left an outline mark of itself on the wallpaper nearest to where it was standing, like it took everything it 'sucked' out and stuck it to the wall.
Just reaslised that sounds gross, but it wasn't a dirty house or anything, thats just what happened, lol.
If they help though, all well and good, just watch where you put them.
    Hi lisawood78, good point.
The ioniser instructions do warn to place it on a washable surface and to be careful if used near non washable wallpaper, it's advisable to wipe the ioniser and the surrounding area each week to avoid a build up.

Angie100, they do sell them instore, you should find them around the pharmacy area. Mine was on clearance, my guess is they were off-plan for that particular store, hence the reduction.

Someone mentioned recently a triple points weekend coming up? Does anyone remember when that is? I normally don't pay attention as I never spend enough in one go to get the points, but I'm thinking of making a big purchase. tia

Should I go to the instore ATM on a weekly basis for offers? I didn't know I could get any offers this way. It was only because of someone on a review site beginning with D that I found it. I'm always using this site for other things. I bet there's loads I'm missing out on!

I maybe posting in the wrong place, so I apologise now if so. I used to get post from Boots with money off vouchers and/or freebie vouchers. I've had nothing for that many months I can't remember. I don't use my card often but I use it and therefore it is still in use. Anyone got any ideas? Should I just contact Boots?
    Thanks

Hope this helps anyone who is thinking of giving an ioniser a try, the jury is still out on the hayfever as I need to buy DD her own ioniser, I don't want to part with this one :rotfl:

Thanks for such a comprehensive review geordie_lass :D - I think I'll treat myself to one with OH's points :rotfl: I've used these before btw, the box shaped type and cylindrical ones, but none ever mentioned that they might be an aid to migraine suffererers (which I am). But as lisawood78 mentioned, they do tend to leave marks where they're stood.

They did in a smoking room, but also in a non-smoking room but where the telly was. I think they suck dust/dirt/smoke/whatever ;) into the carbon filters (which were replaceable - did that one have them btw?) and part of the surrounding areas. But those sound like quite a good buy imo :) so thanks again.

Just skimmed through the posts, and saw the S&G purses mentioned. There was one in PC in Hull for £3.90 but I left it tucked behind the large Berry type bags which were £2.00. I bought 2 of the Botanics toiletry bags (no picture unfortunately) but they were the sturdy looking brown and blue ones with two zip up compartments and were £2.44

The Imperial Leather 'Take it Easy' Bath Soak - the 'Relaxing' Camomile and Lavendar one in the range - was 37p on SEL for a 500ml container. (In K. Retail)

There was more of the Nivea Lip Trios at £1.23 but on 342, but they're still on those cardboard type hangers that are really hard to spot - but keep looking peeps ;) (Also in KR)

Gone brain dead again :D , so I'll keep doing the 'virtual stores tour' in my head, and post up anything else I remember.
Btw, Congratulations on your Engagement nikinackyloo :smileyhea x
ETA: Just about all of the 17 range was on half-price or slightly under, in PC - including the nail varnishes. The Nair (Sensitive) hair remover was on clearance at £1.50 - also in PC. Hths.

  • absolutely nothing in Cheshire Oaks :o- they have a bran tub type thing if you buy any perfume over 75mls, but SA told me what was in them and they were all old GWP's and pants really so got Jean Paul Gaultier Madame from OH for my birthday but wasnt worth getting the big 100ml bottle just for a dodgy Old Spice umbrella;).

got some no17 wipes and free nail varnish so thanks to OP for that;):D
