(but NO Free Nail Vanish as the till would not subtract the value of the nail vanish; was told does not apply to clearence items; could not b asked to argue as I believe there appears 2b NO exceptions on the offer advertised instore which states with ANY No17 purchase. I think if the price is on the SEL label, thus on Mr B's system, the nail vanish go free but if the price has 2b entered by the SA the offer does not kick in)

Mum2Hannah,I've found, the offer of a free nail polish kicks in with reduced 17 nail polish, not with reduced 17 eye shadowsno idea why though. I did mention to the SA the offer had no exclusions, but he said he couldn't override the till:rolleyes:

Afternoon everyone, I hope you're having a great Easter weekend.
We had a family outing to a different Boots today and I couldn't find a clearance section anywhere despite walking round and round and round (I'm sure I was being watched again!)
Anyway, I'm quite pleased with today's haul. I found this for half price and it's lovely. http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=40564&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051 (Sorry about the long link which I hope works) I also got 2 putting sets (bought a Gillette gel for £1.9x to disguise them) and a Vichy gwp and a La Roche Posay gwp. I was nearly wetting myself with excitement and adrenaline at the tills but everything went through ok. The SA put the putting sets to one side and I thought she was going to take them away but I stayed calm and she just put them in a another bag, yippee!! I paid with points too so no hard cash was parted with:j:j
Went back later and bought a L'Oreal trio eyeshadow set with a £2 pooey, another Vichy gwp and a couple of packs of mints to keep the kids quiet and that just cost me £3.xx
I also noticed the Soap & Glory coin purse for £5.xx and I was tempted but have left it on the shelf, it was the last one there and I know someone else mentioned getting one even cheaper so it might be one to look out for. Happy Bootsing everyone:beer:Started SW 11.1.11

HELP! I got a dreaded "Beep" earlier when I tried to use the MAGIC 2 vouchers (didn't get the Magic 3 - no Peel voucher from the ACM for me
)
I've been on holiday for 2 wks, so I've missed lots of posts, though I've tried to read through as many as I can. Have I missed something important? I thought that, if you had the Line Lift & Highlights vouchers that you needed to buy something less than the value of the Highlights (£10) so that it would be the lowest value of the 3 in the 3-4-2? I chose a nailvarnish at £6.**, so I thought that would automatically go through free? I then handed over my Linelift voucher (thinking that the till would still recognise the £20.** value of the Linelift & Highlights) but it beeped? The SA then tried the Highlights voucher, which worked, but wouldn't override the Linelift, as she said that the till would only recognise I'd spent £6.** on the nailvarnish, which I got confused over, as I thought that was the free item? Can anyone point out where I went wrong? I know I was at a manned (or should that be "womaned"?) till, but my local one doesn't have SS ones & I'd read on here about the tills not beeping & people getting them with SA's? I'd written it all down on a piece of paper, so I gave her the vouchers in the right order, but thinking back, I'm not sure what order she scanned the items in originally - does that affect it when the Peel isn't being purchased, too?
I did manage to pick up 3 x Nivea Lipcare Trios for £2.46, (even though the SEL was full price & no mention of the 3-4-2) & also the L'Oreal eyeshadow Trio using the poohie, so I spend £5.30 & earned another poohie, so not totally a wasted journey, but I felt a bit daft at the till when I had to ask the SA to cancel the transaction & she looked a bit baffled when she said I could still take the Highlights powder with the nail varnish but I muttered I didn't want any of them!
I hope the vouchers will work elsewhere, cos she's scanned them once? No clearance shelves at all at my local, which was disappointing & I didn't spot any of the cosmetic bags reduced, either.
BTW, Happy Easter to everyone! :EasterBun

hiya:) sorry to hear it all went wrong for you:( I think it went wrong because you need to spend £15 to get the line lift voucher to work (excluding the Hlights).0 -
Just come back from a quick visit to town, and called into Boots. the only new items on the reduced rack (and they were also on the shelves) were boots expert ultra dry anti perspirant, £1.00 for the spray and £1.22 for the roll on, which I think is half price. I have had several different ACm vouchers for expert products this month, one for the total range and also 100 points for any men's product purchased but none for the ultra dry products.0

Things like creame eggs were half price before easter (Friday I think?) in the big store near me. Not sure about the big hollow eggs/bunnies etc...Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Yep, the Boots bunnys, etc were all on the clearance stand this morning at the store I was in. I didn't check the price though, as I feel a bit sick after demolishing half a Quality St egg yesterday0

Hi girls, hope you are all having a fab bank holiday weekend? Been to a large Boots in Basildon today and lots to report :j
For the girls who were asking about the Easter eggs being reduced, the Thorntons Easter Eggs were 1/2 price (and very nice they are too)
Easter bunny easter egg hunt boxes 1/2 price, Easter chick / goose bake your own cookie boxes 1/2 price. Didn't price check mini eggs or creme eggs but would imagine they are probably reduced too.
Large rail of 50% off kids clothing, Berry holdalls and bags clearance stickered but on normal shelf, 1/2 price batteries clearance stickered on normal shelf, Natural Collection 3 pack wash bags clearance stickered £2.50, Mates 12-packs £1.50, Loads of various toothbrushes 61p, aromatherapy vials £1, Large jewellery stand with some gorgeous jewellery on it, one side all 50% off; rings, earrings, necklaces etc. DD made like a magpie towards it!!:D
Surprisingly, having already had the magic 3 vouchers, I got another Line Lift voucher from the ACM!! I've done loads of Bootsing over the past week or so and have not had this voucher again at the ACM since the first time so worth checking again at a different store (?). No 7 day and night cream clearance stickered but with all No 7; £8.50 / £8.58 and No 7 nail varnish in Heavenly 50p, various No 7 eyeliners and lipliners 50p and rainbow palletts £1 (all on buy 2 get 1 free). Had a fab shop so well pleased. Thank you to everyone who contributes on here :T0 -

Suzi, for the Line Lift voucher to work u have to spend £15 or more on skincare and, as Sally06 advised, the Highlights powder is not counted towards the bill; this not only coz it's free but it's not skincare; the Magic 3 working without beeps (specially the Line Lift voucher) is coz the Peel is skincare & b4 the 1/2 price discount it's priced @ £17.60...So if u haven't got the Peel voucher probably try the following:
Highlights @ £10 (free on 342)
Line Lift @ £12.70 (free WYS £15 or more on skincare)
Something for £15 or more on skincare so the Line Lift voucher works, say, for example, something that costs u £16 (£16 minus highlights voucher)
Then when u give in ur vouchers and coz of the glitch on the Highlights voucher this amount will b deducted from the £16 skincare item u'd buy; so in total u'd pay £6... hope haven't confused u, lol!And HTH!

Hi peeps .....
I didn't manage the magic 3
.
.
.
.
But my OH did :j
I was in such a fluster because those SS tills are still beyond meso he says: "Give us 'em here, you soft melt" (he's such a romantic :heart2: so and so, lol) but after pressing all the finish and done things for each coupon, and a bit of a long pause, it all went through ok! :rotfl:
So, I bought - (or rather he did) lol:
1 x Glyco whatsit
1 x Line Lift
1 x Humiliating Powder
2 x Sanex Deodorants (dermo protector) £1.03 but on bogof
2 x FCUK Cool Down Body Sprays that were also half price on SEL (please see below)
http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=20145&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=10551
All for the sum of .... £2.33 ...! I couldn't believe it (and neither could he) but thanks again to BigBargainBrummy for finding the glitch
and all of the peeps that spurred me (and him lol) on to do it.
I'm still a chickenbut I'm a chicken with the 3 magic items  :rotfl:
There was other odds and ends that I spotted (or bought), but I'll have a coffee and a quick catch-up whilst I try to remember. Thanks again peepsxxx
