Hi. This is a great idea. Can I join please? I need to go away and work out the final debt figure. It's about £5500. In my mind I would like to be debt free by my 35th (AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!) birthday in September. I think this might be a bit ambitious but I suppose we should aim high.
I love these challenges, they're great motivation.0 -

Thanks for joining our merry little group!
Can you please let me know what date you're aiming to be debt-free by as that way I won't have to count forward 69 weeks :rotfl:
Cheers!

PS...is anyone else watching Lost on Sky One and if so do ANY of you have a flipping clue what is going on? I think I'm about ready to quit Lost, and I've been a loyal viewer since it started

Hope everyone is enjoying their choccy! I have just been fed at my friend's parents house and I don't think I need to eat for a week!:o
I love the new name! It did confuse me for a moment (or 5!). I had to look through the list of titles about 3 times before I worked it out - it's the blonde hair! Thanks Shopgirl! Its for the subject leader job at school, the current one is retiring at the end of the year so thought I'd try and get my head in! Not holding out a massive amount of hope as I have only been teaching 3 years but I'll be properly chuffed if I get it!
You will have to let us all know how you get on with your interview...I'm assuming it will be sometime after the hols. I'm sure you will do a crackin' job. I'm a Science teacher, what do you teach?
Right...I'm off to count my coppers, hopefully I'll be able to make a decent payment.

Hi New Peeps!
Didn't want you to think you had been missed, but after a hectic evening of Lost-watching (So confuuuuuused!) and forum-reading I'm about to turn off the laptop and play some PlayStation with t'other half.
I will add you new folk on to the list in the morning, but you're definitely part of the club now
Have a good night all.

Good morning [strike]Vietnaaaam[/strike] Debt Free Birthday Club!
*deepbreath*
nickynoo08, Hopeful34, clarabella23 and wigwam you are all now on the list and added to the challenge. nickynoo08 - I used an online calculator to figure out your debt-free date, if it's wrong please let me know!!
I have paid a whopping £5 to Mr Barclaycard this morning. None of the PADs I have made since Thursday are showing up due to the bank holidays, so I will be a happy little Fresian tomorrow when I see how much it has gone down!!
I'm going to spend the next little while updating the first post. I see that we have attracted some folk who are new to the boards (Yay!! Welcome!!) and thought I might put together a "List of Resources" for them. This is not an excuse for me to ignore my housework by skulking around the forums, it's helping people. Honest
