I'll second (or third or fourth) sugar soap to wash the walls. It's also a good idea to choose a premuim paint marketed for extra toughness and washability next time you re-decorate. They'll be something suitable from most paint maufacturers. HTH.

Hi, hope you can help. My kitchen has very hight ceilings and the wall behind the cooker is so greasy. What is the best thing to use and do to clean it please? I am going to have to use long ladders as well to reach the top!

Sugar soap is best for getting rid of greas.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I find using a Microfibre cleaning pad also helps get the grease off, I used a strong washing up liquid solution and it came straight off0
