Cleaning Painted Walls

My matt emulsion painted walls have some smudges on from where bags or shoes or such like have rubbed against them - when I tried to wipe them down, it seemed to make them worse!
Any ideas anyone?0 -
JML magic eraser!
Usually works for me to get marks off walls. Not sure how they actually work...maybe it's abrasion?0 -
matt paint is awful. i found the best way and easiest is to just touch up. generally once a wekk i just touch up if needed. my hallway was painted in a matt paint after buying wrong one and not realising till i painted and it marks so easily. have since re-painted with vinyl sink and now any marks simple wipe off.0

Go to B&Q
Buy same paint in silk finish
Repaint
Matt paint is basicaly powder paint and water.. the water dries and the powder sticks to the wall EVERYTHING you use will bring it off.. it is awful.. silk finish contains.. PVA which sticks it to the wall.. I think it is part PVA to 10 parts matt.
You could mix PVA in with the remaining paint from doing your walls and redo them..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
