I was wondering if anybody could help in explaining to me how clubcard plus works in terms of paying by an alternative method (e.g. visa card) and then using the cc plus card in the same way as your normal cc (e.g. just swiped at checkout).
I assumed that you have to preload the card with money and spend on it to recieve the double points. Finding any information on the clubcard plus account seems impossible, tescos seem to be doing a great job of keeping the clubcard plus account hidden. I even have regular trouble with the staff not knowing how the card is used.
The reason I am asking is I have never used my cc plus when I order online as I assumed it had to be preloaded with cash to get the double points. So I assumed I would only receive 1 point the same as my normal cc. Am I correct in assuming this or am looking at this wrong. I Apologise if this has been answered before but I have been unable to find out this information.

Jasavib1
If you don't pay by clubcard plus then it works as a normal clubcard ie 1 pont per £1.
If you have cash or credit on the card and you use it to pay then you get 2 points per £1 (excludes extra point deals). I always use for paying instore or online even though the CC+ symbol does not appear always at checkout.

ps...some areas such as video hire don't take CC+0 -
Thanks Kremmen
So am I right in saying to get double points online I need to use the clubcard plus as my payment card and have the cash preloaded on their.

You can set up a standing order into the cc plus account for any amount (mine is £5 per month). I'm pretty sure that at least £5 per month has got to go in to the account.
When I shop instore, I pay cash into it at customer services. It goes in immediately. I once went to the cashpoint to check my balance on my cc plus account after paying cash in and it was there straight away.
I then do my shop and pay with my cc plus card for my groceries and shopping.
You can't pay into cc plus with your credit card.... only cash or cheque. If you paid a cheque in, I don't think this shows on your balance immediately, hence I pay cash in.0 -

So you can't put money on it by debit card then (having MY blonde moment :rotfl: ) ? It's a good job there is a cash machine at my Tesco !There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those who understand binary, and those who don't.0 -
I need some help understanding something please guys...
Ok so I shop in Tesco, you all seem to talk about coupons etc.
If I have a coupon but dont buy that product can it still be redeemed? Whats the rules regarding this? Does it have to be a tesco coupon or can I use ANY coupons I have and get discount even if Im not purchasing that product?
HELP!
Thanks:wall:Crazy Nutters Club Member 003 :wall:0 -
Hi Loop
There are a few threads about coupons and as far as I know, if the shop sells the product they accept the coupon without you having to buy the product. Tesco also accept other shops coupons, so this morning when I went they took a Superdrug Olay token for £5 and some Somerfield tokens as well as 2 for Harpers bazarr. They also take more than one of the Tesco Clothing club vouchers if you have them, contrary to the 'one per purchase' claim on the back of them. i got £26 off my shopping so I was ecstatic. It's best to try it when you have a big shop, the stores busy and the cashier is male, young or preferably both. It never seems work in any shop anywhere with a middle aged jobsworth on the till. Hope you make lots of savings!Student loan no morepaid off
