  • Silly question maybe - but I have ordered some deal vouchers online using the online codes on my vouchers. So physically I still have the vouchers.

What happens if I present the voucher at the checkout in my tesco store - does the system recognise automatically that the voucher has been used and reject it? Anybody had any experience of this?
  • The system knows sorry but nice idea though!

We've been saving for a virgin holiday in 2008 we've £550 in deals vouchers (not yet exchanged), given theat we need to pay brochure price is it wise to use them for that or for other things.
  • Got a very nice Tag Huer watch from Goldsmiths with the last batch of Tesco vouchers.

I read a thread on another website that although you can't use in Tesco's once redeemed - you can use in ASDA, you know the adverts which say we accept competitors vouchers - well obviously they don't check if they've been used or not and don't do anything with them it is just a cheap marketing trick to steal customers from Tesco's.

I'm only repeating what I've read, not tried it personally.

Is that just the ones they send with your clubcard the 50p off this or that etc or the main value of the clubcard points earned that time around?
    Thanx

  • I think the earlier post refers to your actual vouchers eg £2.50 which is worth £2.50 off a Tesco shop but also £10 in deals. So convert into deals online and then with the original coupon (which is now invalid in Tesco's) toddle along to your local Asda. Not sure if all asda's do accept the vouchers, if they do then they may well accept the money off ones too.

Don't know yet whether or not to do this myself it does seem a bit dis-honest but then it is a cheap trick by Asda accepting the vouchers in the first place.

I did read this on the Loyalty Points Forum so thanks to the original person who posted the idea I don't want to take credit for someone elses ideas :D

what is the current situation with MFI please? Latest I heard they had been taken over, thought it would just carry on as normal but must admit I am totally clueless about these things.
