    Hi,

Couple of clubcard questions, hoping people on here can help.

I have saved up quite a lot of clubacard points and was planning to buy new wardrobes from MFI. I was going to wait until the next sale as then I would have my August points. However I have just noticed on the MFI extra info it says:

Deal Token(s) cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

    Does this include sales?

Also if I don't use my tokens within the six months can I get the points back?

    Any help much appreciated.
I have also used deals tokens on sale items at MFI. If you dont use all of you deals tokens within the 6 month period return them to the Freetime address with a covering letter and they will be converted back to points to appear with your next allocation of vouchers.
  • Hi,
Thanks to this site I have begun to realise the true value of Tesco vouchers
(can't believe I used to go shopping at Tesco and NOT collect points)
My aim now is to collect enough vouchers to get me, my OH and our car across the channel for our Summer Hols (camping) My question is, has anyone else done this. If so, which option needed fewer points, ie, Euro Tunnel of Ferry?
    Thanks

I used to work for French Life and I was always amazed at how many vouchers people had. Now I know how!! Thanks to this site!! MFI here I come!!

Anyway, things have changed a little as P&O dont offer as many crossings, so I presume the ferry prices are not as competitive as they were.

However, it depends where in France you are travelling to. Obviously if you travel by Euro tunnel you can only go to Calais. If you are staying in Normandy you might want to choose a ferry to Dieppe, or if you are staying in Brittany the ferries to St Malo, Le Havre or Cherbourg will save you a lot of driving, but the crossings are a lot longer and dearer!!

I have not travelled by Euro tunnel, but it is very fast and a great option if you get sea sick. It isnt that much dearer.

Dont be afraid to ring the travel agent for quotes, including both methods of travel, the people I worked with were very helpful and knowledgable.

Have a great holiday, France is a great place!!

  • Thanks for your reply,
I think I would be looking for shortest crossing, maybe euro tunnel would be the best option. I will try ringing to get rough estimate of price so that I know what to aim for.

Bit sneaky, and you def need to have web access to do this, and nothing to do with tesco vouchers but:

the tunnel s by far the best route to use, its 35 minutes, u drive car on, drive off and striaght onto french motorway.

its cheapest to buy a one day off peak return ticket, and only use the outbound journey, (u need to book 24 hours in advance min, poss at peak times earlier secures the best price).

Then, u can book the same type ticket but using the French side as the outbound journey, and get home on a one day return ticket to, sure its a bit off work, but if u do the math, I think u come out on top.

Best of luck with your holidayand don't 4get to find yourself in Belgium on the way back for 3200 fags @ £27.50 per 200, terrible prices :0, also fill up your car to, way cheaper
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

eurotunnel is definitely quicker but more expensive !

  • have a weekend in oostend stay at the bero hotel great night life and fab food
  • We are looking at doing the same but have found out that you can only get to France by Eurotunnel although the ferry will take you to Hook of Holland or Bilboa in Spain so really depends on where you want to go. Hope this helps Julie

That sounds like P&O, you should be able to use other ferry companies, inc Norfolk Line, Dover - Dunkirk
    Seafrance, Dover - Calais
    Britanny Ferries - Various
    Condor Ferries - Various
