I have a couple of times. Just paid with them at the end of the meal, but the waitress had to ask a manager (we could see her, she never told us) as she didn't know about them. You can only use them on the 'food' part of your order, not drink (shame!).

Right i have decided to go for it big time and save up as many clubcard points as possible over the next 2 years to get myself the best holiday ever.I know it will be hard and require a bit of work to get every available point from tesco's so i was wondering if anyone has

A .... anytips to start me of

B... explain how it pays to use tesco home delivery to gain more points when you get charged for the delivery?

C.... is it worth getting the new tesco credit card that pays more points and ensuring it gets paid of straight away.

D.... are the credit card points in addittion to the club card points you normally recieve

E has anyone else done this and is it worth the wait

and finally ....any good websites that list points deals etc

    Thanks in advance.
  • Hey, does anyone know if I can take receipts with barcodes saying "you could have earned x amount of points' to be added to my card if they are as old as 2002 and 2003. Cos I have found loads of my old receits before I had cottoned onto using my Clubcard properly!!

We found a stack of old receipts in our car the other day from upto a year ago and I called Tesco yesterday to find out how long they're valid for to claim the points, she said 4 weeks instore or if you send them to the address below along with your clubcard number then they'll put them on for you.

Depends on how paranoid you are feeling. I personally wouldn't want to draw CS attention to my accounts after the tales coming through of people getting letters re wombling, using others peoples vouchers etc.

Luckily my receipts have the same old stuff on them week in week out, so I can't see any reason to miss out on my points.

I wouldn't expect anyone to abuse this offer from Tesco!
  • Is wombling a big issue then? Is it against Tesco policy? They have no way of proving it. Cos lots of my points come from my frequent travels around the car parks of the Tescos near me....its well worth it....lots to be found.
