Tesco Clubcard/Vouchers/Points/Deals - Post All Questions Here

Hiya all,

Hope one of you can help. I posted in the travel section this morning, but no replies!

I booked some flights for a holiday on the basis that I would be able to use my tradewinds converted tesco vouchers for the hotel. This was on the basis of a conversation with the girl at tradewinds/cresta (months ago, can't remember her name).

However I have now seen the T&Cs and it says no Acc only bookings. This means I will have to fork out £1400 for the hotel rather than using £800 of vouchers towards it.

Has anyone actually got round this and managed to book acc only with their vouchers?

I havent converted all my vouchers yet, only £140, so alternatively if anyone can think of another way, I am open to any suggestions!

I am starting to consider calling tradewinds and bribing whoever I get on the phone to...!!!;)

no way jose. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but tradewinds will only accept flight + acc, or flight + car hire bookings. I ended up cancelling my flight already booked and rebooking a flight and campervan hire with my tradewinds trip as it was the cheaper option after I too had been told on the phone I could solely hire a campervan through them with my CC vouchers.

IME, they don't care what someone else had already told you, if it goes against their T+C, it ain't gonna happen.

:sad: Oh well, it was worth a try. I am so mad at myself for not triple checking before I booked the flights though..

And my boyfriend will be mad as he is going to have to sub the rest of the booking..!!!!!:rotfl:

Have you checked Cosmos or Virgin holidays T+C? they may differ to Tradewinds.

I've read through the thread but don't think my question has really been answered. I have not yet received my credit card (TPF) cc points. The online balance shows my cc but not my tpf as I've not joined the two together. Should I do this? Or will we get two lots of bonus point offers since we should (assuming one comes) get two points mailings?

Having read the rest of the thread we're a bit concerned those vouchers haven't come anyway - drumming fingers waiting for Monday to reclaim ...

Does anybody know if theres a way to buy Disneyland Paris tickets with clubcard vouchers?? I wish there was but cant find any way yet. I see on airmiles.co.uk you can buy several Disneyland Paris package trips but i wander if you can buy any tickets only.

Yes you can use your cc vouchers for Disneyland paris with either Cresta or Leger Holidays. With cresta the rules say you have to stay for a min of 4 nights and the holidays must come to over £500. You have to book travel and hotels with them (self drive, air, eurostar). Any Disney free nights offers are still valid with your cc vouchers.
With leger you can only use them against their coach holidays and they go on specific days. I asked them if we could self drive and what they are happy to do is let you book the coach trip and mark you as 'joining at hotel' but you still have to pay the same price as if you were on the coach and then sort out your own ferry. Still works out cheaper than Cresta as you can go for 2 or 3 nights and we like to take the car to stock up on booze!

You could book acommodation through airmiles if you converted your points into airmiles. If you have already changed some points into deals you can send them back and have them recredited.
