I think you may have a problem as both the voucher and the clubcard are scanned or swiped and if they do not get a match then I do not think it will work for you.
Happy to be proved wrong though !!A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don't need it - Bob Hope.

I always use clubcard vouchers to buy ferry tickets. The price I pay is always the same as the online quote plus the £10 booking fee. I don't know why your quote was so high0

J_&_J wrote:I swapped my tesco points for Tokens with Irish Ferries after checking their prices online. After the non-exchangeable vouchers arrived I had to phone the Company direct (0870) to book. The price for my trip increased by over £100! The online quote is apparently a 'special offer' price not covered if you use the vouchers.
Not sure if their tokens for other things work like this but be careful.
It does say in the T&C that the vouchers can only be used against brochure prices, which can be a pain but is understandable.
However, Tesco will usually take back vouchers that you cannot use in time and re-credit your account, so this may be an option.
I recently got £100 of Tesco P&O vouchers and after checking the price on the net I expected to have another £20 or so to pay. However, I was asked how much I had in vouchers & amazingly the cost came to exactly what I had - I don't think the young lad on the other end could be bothered taking 2 forms of payment!
This brings me to another point. Whenever you want to bend the rules slightly, always choose a young, preferably thick-looking male checkout assistant etc if at all possible. By way of example, me & the family went to Camelot last year armed with Tesco deals vouchers AND bogof tokens. At the same time, my brother-in-law and his brood did exactly the same.
I followed my principle of thick assistants and was able to use both Tesco vouchers & bogof's. He on the other hand went to a middle aged woman and was politely told he could use one or the other.
It always works. (Well usually anyway)0 -
Tell them you have forgotten your card but keep your receipt and go to customer services later and get them to add your points on to your card that they way they carnt question the name on the vouchers as they have not seen your clubcard at the till. Hope that makes sence this way you wont miss your points:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Come on moneysavers - I thought it was common knowledge that you can buy anything full price in Goldsmiths with your Tesco vouchers then take it back the next day - upon which you will be given a credit note which can be used against anything including sale items!!
P.s. I have done this myself and lots of others have also mentioned on here that they have too.0 -

ooh that's cunning! even I hadnt thought of that! Used mine all at MFI though. :T0 -
I want to save up my deals vouchers so I can get something decent like a £700 bracelet from Goldsmiths.
However I want to do it without making any mistakes. What is the best way to save the vouchers? Im worried about expiry dates etc.
Is it better to convert vouchers to deals each time Clubcard sends them? I usually get about 5000 points each time, therefore send away for the £200 deals each time.
Or
Keep all the clubcard vouchers for say a year and then convert them all to deals tokens when I know ive got plenty of dough.
I wasnt sure if the deals tokens come with use by dates etc.
Thanks for the advice

Just put them to one side when they come through.
Thats all i did, They have a 2yr validity code, so plenty of time.
I saved mine, and decided that now was a good time to get a new oven from MFI. ( especially with 30% off)
I mailed the vouchers to tesco via special delivery saturday, got them back in clubcard deals this morning.
The new style vouchers can be done online, so no need to send them off first.Tesco do turn them around very quickly.0 -
If you send away for the deals (as soon as you get tesco vouchers)i am sure they have an expiry date of 6 months on them(dont quote me on this)."Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0
