Anyone else finding the application for the Natwest e-ISA confusing?

OK guys, I'm in the same boat so I might need some help here. Seems like alot of you have got further than me....
I have a Natwest account which I opened recently, It's active and has £1 in it as I specifically set it up for the Natwest E-ISA to transfer in my £3500 from my Lloyds ISA account. According to the Natwest website it says an E-Isa will be automatically set-up, but, the only ISA that was set-up was the CASH ISA PLUS which pays a crappy rate and does NOT allow transfers, so I closed this (ISA) down immediately.
Now, my question is how do I go about opening a Natwest E-ISA?0 -
OK Nevermind, i managed to open an account, hope to recieve the paperwork shortly.0

Has anyone got any experience on how long it takes to transfer an ISA to a Natwest E-ISA from another provider? I opened an account online (with the ridiculous having to lie about making a £1 initial deposit problem) and then once the account was open sent off a transfer form a few weeks ago. The old HSBC ISA has now disappeared from my HSBC internet banking but there's no sign that the money has been credited to the Natwest account yet.0

I think the rules are that it has to turn up in your new account within 30 days, but it will probably be much quicker than that. I would imagine that the balance will show up in your new ISA account in a week or two ... maybe less.
Most banks transfer the money by posting cheques to each other. A few banks are using a new electronic system that should be quicker and have less issues (i.e. cheques lost in the post) but unfortunately HSBC isn't one of them.0 -
I have applied online for mine, will post on how long it takes to arrive when it happens...0

I am already a Natwest customer and I also found the process confusing and simply unprofessional. Needless to say I eventually managed to open it after having to lie on the application form. I have printed out the form to take into Branch tomorrow.0

Update - I opened a current account in branch last week (monday) so as to open an e-isa. I've had a wecome letter, a wecome pack a cheque book a pin number and a customer number, today I had a Natwest debit card with a yet another booklet. Still no online activation code.
So I thought I'll just try and setup online banking, online.
I fill out the detail and see a section that asks if I have a debit card, it says "If you select this option, we may be able to provide you
with immediate access to your online banking service" wonderfull, finally something I can do online without having to wait several days for a code or password of customer number or some other !!!!.
I got to the final section and it said I will have a activation code sent to me in the post in the next few day.
This is even before I've had chance to apply for the e-isa, all I want is a e-isa - Natwest are crazy.:mad:0 -
I received the form to open the E-SAVINGS account in the post today. Thought it was going to require me to send in all sorts of ID, but I just have to sign the form to confirm the details are correct.
My question is though, am I meant to send in a cheque (for £1) to open the account with this form? And if so, payable to who (just my name?!) I don't even want another savings account, I just want to transfer my ISA funds from crappy Nationwide who are paying me peanuts!0 -
littlesnuggy if you want to use your 09/10 allowance with Natwest then send a cheque, if you just want to do ISA transfer then don't send the cheque but send a completed transfer form0

I'm also wondering what the answer is to this question. To clarify, we know we dont have to pay a cheque in for E-ISA but you do have to pay a cheque in to open the E-SAVINGS ... So who do you make cheque payable to? I assume my own name? (Nat West close at 8pm)Am i here to save money or spend money......hmmmmm0
